I think it's because the TC is under the impression that all anime heroes are martial arts-based characters (hence the "fighters"😉 while American heroes are just simply...superheroes.

But what about supervillains? Surely even a non - comic book reader knows that they exist.

Maybe the topic starter wasn't thinking that, but then again, he did have a list of good guy vs. good guy fights so maybe he was referring to the anime heroes? Who knows?

Hard to choose but I'll pick Turtles. The story will be different if Gatchaman team can use his plane.

Yeah, if the Gatchaman team use the God Phoenix, they win but I was talking about fighting without it, though in that situation, it seems the Turtles win, like you said.

Goku VS Superman: Inconclusive, it depends on what version of the characters you use.

Vegeta VS Wolverine: Vegeta, I don't see Wolverine hurting him.

THE HULK VS Good Majin Buu: Buu a casual planet buster and potentially a threat to the solar system as well (depending on what standards of evidence you accept) with vast magic powers. While Hulk strength might at times surpass that of Buu's he's slower than the shock-wave of his thunder-claps which expand at the speed of sound.

Piccolo VS Blade: Piccolo, I don't see blade posing any threat.

Naruto VS Robin: Naruto overpowers him greatly.

Van Helsing VS Spike: Could go either way, though I'd put my two cents on Rachel.

Flash VS Rock Lee: Flash, Rock Lee wouldn't be able to touch him.

Batman VS Inuyasha: Inuyasha, Batman wouldn't normally be able to harm him.

Green Lantern VS Sasuke: Depends on which Green Lantern.

Wonder Woman VS Android 18: Same as Superman vs Goku.*

Daredevil VS Krillin: Krillin works at speeds beyond what Daredevil can sense.

Fantastic Four VS Team Yusuke: Team Yuske.

to be fair, certain incarnations of superman can utterly destroy any and every incarnation of goku there is but the reverse is not true for goku.

Reminds me of the GL vs Aliens crossover where a GL was killed by Xenomorphs because they surprised him, he got scared reducing his willpower, and they killed him.

Hm, I guess maybe genjutsu could be used to scare a GL into dropping their guard...

But seriously, even a normal GL should win no prob.
