Its not the damage that I am talking about with the Wonder Woman scene, I'm talking about the fact that Wonder Woman winked out on him and he was helpless to it. He had no way of defending himself.

No, this was their last race and flash uped his speed to light and left Superman in the dust.
Superman wasnt helpless but he had no way to defend himself. He couldnt wink out like DBZ character does when their opponents wink out, he was waiting to hear a heart beat which ended up with him getting those ears crushed.

I dont think they are faster because of art style, I think they are faster because of who hit one person vs the other person not getting hit by someone that is faster than the person that hit character "A".
Mike, I think they might need you over in the comic book forum on the "Superman vs Loki" debate. Its an argument going on where onedumb is stating that Superman can not stay or has as of yet to show that he can stay at super speed mode during combat (like DBZ characters can). You might want to go and put up some feats showing that he can (you wont find it).

His punching speed is greater, the way he use his combat speed is greater, its more consistant, and he has as of yet to get hit by someone that doesnt possess any kind of combat speed. He also dont have showings of being overwhelmed by street levelers speed wise or he doesnt have showings of Bat Girl hanging with a speedster where he failed and ADMITTED that the speedster was much faster than him.

Actually they can only do that for a bit at a time, as even at the end of the manga, normal humans can see them for most of the fights.

Well it would be out of character for him to try something like that, and anyway I doubt it would work as Loki has very sharp senses. Logically, I don't see any reason why Superman couldn't continue moving at super speed until he got tired, however I don't think it would be an effective tactic in that fight.
