its pretty much in the bag, though all will not be verified for a couple of weeks.

i wonder if bush has come to the conclusion that god wanted him to be a lame duck...
Originally posted by PVSI actually didn't expect the Senate. I wasn't sure if the disdain for Bush and the Iraq War was sufficient to overcome the lack of actual strategy in the Democrats.

But Montana is unlikely to have a recount (margin is 0.7% so I don't know of any requirement in the process) and the 7,000 vote lead in Virginia is unlikely to be overturned regardless of a recount.

Obama Clinton.Broad appeal and a fresh face coubled with experienced party loyalty. I like Hillary a lot, but she cant win as president in the current climate. However, I'd argue that this would be the smartest ticket in American history.
I'm sure I'll be wrong, but thats political predictions.
Nice double-post...I'm guessing you meant to hit edit? 😛
Personally I'm not too sure what I'd think about Hilary running for the presidency...Obama, though, I would very much be all for. He is one of the very few politicians I actually have any respect for. I'd been predicting the past two years that he would probably not run for presidency until 2012, but hey. Someone like him we seriously need in the White House.

Well, all this is years away. In the meantime, I just hope the Democrats can pull themselves together. They're only going to get so far when their main platform seems to be, "Well, we're not Republicans!"
One of their first issues should be comprehensive immigration reform. The Dems and the White House actually agree on that policy and it should be an easy pass and one of the first pieces of real legislation to come out of government in a long time.
