Why is "White Power" percieved as racist but "Black Power" isn't?

I guess because "Black Power" is more about a bond pride in ones own culture and identity in a positive way and "White Power" deals with imperial supremecy and hatred based on skin color, maybe?

Does someone have any idea as to why one is considered racist and the other one isn't?

White power originated from The Ku Klux Klan basically. black power was mostly used against the racist and was also used in activist rallies against racism during the times of MLK.

Blacks are a minority.

........ ok? ..and?...so?

lol

So what you're implying is is that "White Power" is perceived as racist because....... Blacks are in the minority?

This is either the first time you've not made sense or my hangover is still in effect after the brain cell slaughter from last night's party, cause i didn't get your (brief) statement.

white power= screw kill, segregate, spit on, reduce tha status of the blacks which have always been supressed and dealt like animals by white and WHITE POWER.{until very recently and for a very few people in the world}

black power= power to empower the downtrodden blacks ot resist and become equal in all ways to whites

thats the difference.

and blacks dont use it as a weapon to supress.

its like empowering women vs male chauvanism. {in decent language} two very different things.

Black Power actually came from the Black Panthers, who were just as racist as the KKK

There is very little difference between the two. Both call for one ehtnic group to dominate others. The guys who followed Malcom X called for blacks to dominate the social and political process in the United States.

I hate to tell you but the concepts of both Black power and White power are much much much older than the KKK or the BPM.

Hmmm........I should defiantly check these guys out. Its pretty rare to me a racist black man/woman. Pretty tough thought but thats just me.

so that mean that a father who calls for hitting his child for dominance is the same thing as an embittered angry child calling for revenge against the father? i dont buy it, the first is much worse and very different, the second is more than justified.

Because it is politically incorrect to label the minorities as racists, regardless of the accuracy of the statement.

Probably because white people in history have never really been persecuted, not only that "black power" is not trying to lynch white people.

don't hate to tell me, it's true. We're talking about modern Black Power and White Power

Black Power, White Power, Yellow Power - Lets get to PEOPLE power! cheers

But if it were "people" power there would be no one to persecute. Weres the fun in that?

We could persecute small animals.
