Some women want to think for themselves, and do not want to be taken care of. Maybe they want to make their own money.

Some women do not want children, others do not want husband, and some are quite happy with spending the rest of their lives with another woman.

There are women who are more intelligent than men around them, more educated, and men around them are in no position to take care of them.

It is down to an individual rather than sex.

I don't quite understand this. Noone gets in a thread about Christianity and says ''yeah Christianity is bad, but so are most other religions''

While it is more than evident that many forms of religion opress women, I do not see how that relates to discussion of Islam, apart from conclusion that somehow, shaming one, will reclaim the other.

Telling me about how other religions treat women is pointless in the form of information, because I already know that. Religion is my area of interest.

It does happen quite frequently, however, what I have described above. Too requently that sometimes it overshadows those who do not think so.

Furthermore, speaking historically, there are mountain of evidence that the opression of woman was not a ''natural'' thing which occured. It came after the brake down of the tribes, and creation of feudalist type government, including a religion.
