Sparrabeth

I had this scene all figured out in my head... the two of them are stuck together somehow, and the tension builds. Liz knows her heart is bound for Will, and Jack realizes he and Liz will never be together. Their faces are close, their lips practically grazing as they gaze, heavy-lidded into each other's eyes. Liz begins to try to explain, stumbling over her words, "But I love Will. My heart is meant for him... This would never work between you and-" Jack would interrupt, placing his finger to her lips in a "shhhh" manner. The dearheart that he is- he would save the moment with some type of witty banter that would, for one final moment between them, reveal his feelings for her. Jack would say with a smile, his lips close to hers as he uses the back of his hand to gently stroke the side of her face, "I know love- I'm hard to resist." He would then turn serious for only a moment- just one moment to give all of us Liz/Jack fans some closure as he would murmur to her, "Just one last kiss love, before you scamper off to become young William's wife as you're meant to be... one last kiss- not unlike the first one except this time it will not be me wrists that are shackled, but instead me heart." Oh- and then one kiss- oh- just ONE freaking REAL kiss between the two of them- just for some closure. Can't you just see it? Then Jack would be the one to pull away, breaking the passion- Liz's eyes still closed, lips still pursed- and Jack would say something like, "Your young Mr. Turner is a lucky man. I wish the best to the two of ye- now find me some rum!" Then something witty and light which is Jack's nature.

*sigh*

awwww starfish i tooo wish something like would have happened! that would have been amazing! whatever let the Whelp have the girl as long as Jack and Liz had a proper goodbye!!

UNLESS!! *lightbulb flashes over her head* They didnt want to much closure between Jack and Liz because their paths will cross again!!! What if all along they had a Pirates 4 in mind and well we heard rumors about Will not returning, but for Liz and Jack maybe they have a whole new adventure in Mind for them!! Maybe Pirates 4 will be all Lizzie and Jack!!! Oh 1 could only Hope!!!!

it's so sad...over at KTTC they've done away with the shipping threads since the shipping war is over.....

I know I sound like a broken record, but I still can't believe that a movie I was so excited about seeing....has now become a nightmare..i will be going to see it...but only because of Jack and because i have to see it with my own two eyes...but i'm not rushing out to see it...that's for sure.

i just saw it for the 5th time....If ur going just to see Jack....u'll be Happy!! I cant get enough of him in AWE i Love his Madness in it...lol!

Just to see Jack it is worthwhile to see the movie... several times. He is great!!! Though it is sad to see him a bit brokenhearted.

What bothers me the most is not the ending of the film. That I can accept: good luck, Mr and Mrs Turner! But it's truly irritating how they're trying to wipe away whatever there was between Jack and Elizabeth as if it had never happened.

I've read all kind of things. She never had eyes for any other bloke but dear William, she never felt attracted to Jack, she sacrificed herself and kissed that foul-breathed mouth for the sake of Will's safety...

C'mon! Perhaps she chose William, but sorely tempted she was and she kissed Jack because she was just dying for it. Or else why didn't she club his head with a gun?

also not to mention at the end of AWE she tried to kiss Jack again, but he stopped her saying "I think once is enough"....and she was already married at that point and knew Will was still alive....Yet she still tried to go in for the Kill! I'll say that means she wont have a problem breaking wedding Vows dont u think???

Jack's responses are always so witty! But at the present time I'm very much angry with Elizabeth (sly manipulative b***h). I think the Captain is better off without her. Too bad for you, girl!

She is the typical spoilt girl who really falls for the bad guy but can't summon the courage to go ahead and sticks to the sensible path in the end.

i have just been watching a lot of Sparrabeth Videos and i must say im haveing a seriously depressing moment right now!!! Everytime i see a DMC Sparrabeth moment i get soooo angry!! They were meant for each other.....Jack and Liz love each other.....the writers spent so much time on building the chemistry between Jack and Liz only for them to shread them apart in the end!!! Im so devastaded right now!! 🙁 ugh....sorry ladies I've just hit rock bottom....Jack and Liz have my heart and im having a serious moment of weakness!!

You know, i dont think the writers really had to work at sparrabeth's chemistry very much to be honest.

It was there in cotbp
it was certainly there in DMC
...and even though they were hardly together, the still made the screen sizzle in AWE 🙂

see the thing is;
WOULD we all be sitting here being sparrabether's now, if the chemistry had been there between will and liz?

Im still willing to bet yes;
because no matter which way you look at it, you know that the compass wasnt there for no reason!!!!

I think they rather worked much on Will and Elizabeth's chemistry.Well it didn't work.

So wonderful... Why didn't they put a scene like this one ???!!! I'm going to miss this couple.... GO SPARRABETH, GO DMC !!!!!!!!! Definitely my favourite one !

Ive got to say that DMC is probably my overall favourite.

As much as i loved AWE and CoTBP ...

Please~ don't let your love for SparraBeth ruin this movie! Really... you'll all get over it. I swear! Let's be rational for a moment and look at the facts. Yes, we all love the chemistry between Jack and Liz, and it was done for a reason- it makes us passionate, which inevitably raises the numbers at the box office when we all run to see each movie 10 times!!!

I don't think anyone has thought about the fact of Elizabeth's age. She is very young. When PoTC started, I would guess her at about 17-18 years old. So, by the end of AWE- she might be... what, 21 at most? Not even- probably about 19 or 20 because not too much time passed between each script. So, if we think about it from her age... there are many aspects to consider.

She truly is an innocent when it comes to matter of the heart. Even DMC insinuates she is a virgin with the whole, "I'm so ready to be married" scene. She LOVES Will with that starry-eyed young love that is meant to be, in the end. Please, she's loved Will since the moment he was pulled onto her father's ship! And Will has loved her. But she is at a point in her young life, on the verge of being a woman, when her head and heart can get confused. There is a difference between love and lust, although it can be a fine line that separates the two, especially when you are too naive to know the difference! Here she has only known "love," and then she meets Jack! For the first time in her life, she experiences lust, and it confuses her (I remember when the same thing happened to me at age 19, and it confused the heck outta me too!)

I just really think Jack threw a wrench in her emotions. She seems fickle, but it is because she is young. Of course she became attracted to Jack (who wouldn't?) but it was a different attraction than what she felt for Will, and really- I don't think it was as "pure" and long-lasting as the love between Liz and Will. It was not supposed to be. Jack- the "older man." The charmingly naughty pirate. He epitomizes a fantasy life.

I know Elizabeth loves Will,on the other hand we can see Her and Jack being really peas in a pod,enjoying each others company.They can be themselves and don't have to wear a mask when together.I know it's a movie.In life you usually don't marry your first love.

Yes, Jack felt for Liz- even up until the end, but although I AM a big Jack/Liz fan because I LOVED the chemistry- I loved the "play" between them, but Jack knew he was not the right man for Elizabeth.
Her feelings for Jack excited her, and frightened her. Yes the compass pointed to Jack because at that moment Jack was the thing she wanted most. Some of us have been there before- we know the feeling. Hence her naughty satisfied little grin when she was leaning over the railing of the ship and Norrington said there was a time he would have given anything had she looked that way for him... but deep down inside she never stopped loving Will despite her inevitable attraction to Captain Jack Sparrow.
They became too close in DMC. That is why she shackled him to the ship after kissing him. She wanted that kiss, he wanted that kiss- and they both knew it was wrong. She immediately regretted it, but then her temptation was gone- but sitting on the dinghy watching The Black Pearl get demolished, you know her insides were screaming, "What have I done???" She did not want Jack to die- she just wanted her feelings to die, the temptation to disappear, and I do think that scene signified the "death" of the relationship between Jack and Liz- the ACTIVE relationship.
I don't think they ever stopped caring for one another, especially Jack for Liz. He's older, wiser, more shrewd. He knows the potential inside Liz- knows she is not a "typical" female. He never stopped looking out for her, and I do think he, in AWE, had to protect his heart, his emotions, from her. THAT is why there was no relationship building, or even ending, between them.
As far as I am concerned, when Jack saves her from The Flying Dutchman after Will is stabbed, and she clings to him... his obvious protectiveness over her is all the closure I need. Jack knows she is meant for Will. He would never, given the opportunity, taken advantage of Liz's heart- he may have wanted to, but he would have backed off- it is the type of man he is- wanting to be "bad" but making the right choice. His heart broke for Liz and Will when Will was stabbed- just watch his facial expressions! It ended the way Jack would have wanted it to end, had he written the script 🙂 Man I love Jack!

LOL...Starfish if u were trying to make me see that Will and Liz are meant to be....u seriously just failed...lol....the only thing u made me see was that Jack and Liz do love each other...and yes i believe Jack cares more than Liz! U know that saying "If you love someone let them go" well I Know Jack knows that he could never give Liz the life she wants or deserves, but that does not mean he doesnt love her...I think Jack loved Liz enough to let her go!

Jack and Liz are just beautiful together....He confides in her! Whenever Jack is alone with Liz we see a side of him we dont see when he's with anyone else! and her determination to bring him back from Davy's Locker and distance herself from Will, speaks volumes to me! And then she tries to kiss Jack again at the End of AWE....Jack and Liz make sense, i do see that her Life with Will would be a better one. Their love maybe more pure something long lasting....but i also know that she can bring out the best in Jack...we've seen it happen!

But lets not forget Will's relationship with Jack....i think regardless of what has happened between them, Jack and Will consider each other friends after all....and when Davy stabbed Will...i saw the look on Jacks face, like i've said before it was Heart Wrenching! And there is no doubt in my mind that Jack cares for Will also! So when he saved will by having him stab the heart only made me Love Jack that much more because it shows what a true friend Jack is....no matter what the circumstances are! anyways i know i totally digressed....but I guess in the end Liz stayed with the guy whom she can have a better life with....but i still believe that her feelings for Jack go way deeper than meets the eye!

and no worries im not letting the Willabeth ending ruin the movie for me, because i've alreadt stated how Much I Love This Movie!!! All im saying is that their was something missing!
