well, the only reason i haven't seen the movie is because we had a big night on May 25 and my parents have been in town ever since, so it's kind of hard for me to get away and see it...but they leave Sunday morning so I'm hoping I'll get to go see it on Sunday....
but still not liking the will and elizabeth love scene...but whatever....
oh...so for months we would speculate what two very important things Elizabeth had to look over while on the island for 10 years...well we now know it was Will's heart and their son...will Jr....whom she obviously taught her's and Jack's song to....i never heard her sing that song with Will..gosh she is one coniving woman....
well lovethemtigers if surreal was infact being honest in saying that the Parachute scene between Jack and Liz was Beautifully done....i completely agree...it was a very sweet moment... a Sparrabeth moment that they at least gave us so that we can grab onto and never let go! Jacks protection towards Liz is very sweet and heartbreaking at the same time!
also the look on Jacks face when Will gets stabbed is very satisfying in the sense that we get emotion from Jack! He has great moments!

^^ I am being honest about the parachute scene. It was lovely, although a teeny tiny bit of me wanted to snort and go, "Oh come ON", not because it was J/E but because it was well...a bit silly. But it's wonderful, and PirateDiva
YES. The expression on Jack's face when Will gets stabbed is one of the best parts of the film. And then DJ pushes the sword in deeper and twists it...and Lizzie screaming in the background and rushing over to Will. Will being unable to pull the sword from his chest and then him trying to speak to Elizabeth but he can't get enough air to do so...heart-wrenching and Jack being so indecisive.
You can see him running all these different scenarios through his mind on what course of action to take, and his struggle to choose between his own desires for the absolute need of a friend...
*sighs happily* All the angst is lovely. Angsty, but lovely all the same.
^^ Completely agree...well except for the "Oh come on" part...it's the only real Sparrabeth moment they gave us so...i took it! what can u do! lol
*sighs* regardless the movie was still a great Movie...no one can take that from them! even though i wasnt happy with they ending...it grows on u! i take comfort in knowing "He's Captain Jack Sparrow" and that he'll be just fine! 🙂
Lovethemtigers, please go see the movie. I saw it, and I loved it. You know how much I wanted Jack and Lizzie to be together. I think sometimes this forum says too much information and people get all these spoilers that they shouldn't and that can scare people away from it, but it's a beautiful film and if you like the idea of the main trio working together, plotting against each other, and winding up in these ridiculous scenarios, you're in for a treat. Jack and Liz's relationship takes a less formal, more sincere level. It really is beautiful. It's not what you or I would have had happen, but the films aren't defined by their relationship alone. Just sit back and enjoy it.

I saw the movie on the 24th. It is NOT bad at all. Mostly because I saw it as a pirate's fan. I really didn't care for the W/E $1.98 romance. I just enjoyed it.
There more than meets the eye in this movie. The problem is that the majority has been cut because of time.
BUT, believe it or not, the most that has been cut has been with the J/E scenes together.
If you have read the AWE adult novel, there is a more sense of Sparrabeth feeling in there.
Even the ending. It is really interesting. The ending of the book is something else. It's more or like the same as the movie....but IT'S REALLY DIFFERENT!

But the goodbye scene was very much like Casablanca. And I haven't even seen the movie. But I was told it was exactly like Casablanca.
Anyways, the most that I remember from it is that Jack actually offers her to stay with him. They both almost kissed. Their lips brushed against eachother ever so slightly.

how does one get a copy of the novel...do you mean other than the jr. novelization...and girls I keep telling you....it's not because i haven't wanted to see the movie..it's just that i have had company at my house ever since May 22, so I haven't made it to the theatres yet.....but I'm going to see it...and I probably shouldn't say this on the sparrabeth site...but after just watching POTC...for like the 1,000 time..LOL...i do believe that it was Will and Elizabeth all along..but being a fan of Sparrabeth i got caught up in all that they threw at us in DMC...hey, who am I kidding...i still think jack and lizzy love each other.....but she also loves Will.....
Anyhow, I actually cried at the end of POTC knowing now what happens in AWE.....like when Will says "my place is here, between you and Jack"...that tore my heart out...and just watching how jack and will and liz all worked together in the end....just made me realize what a good man Jack is..and what a good man Will is.....tears were in my eyes...so i know i'll be bawling in AWE.....

If you read it, it's actually better than the movie itself.
There is an extremely sweet but sad moment between Jack and Elizabeth.
I need to buy Casablanca and see it. Because my girls are saying that it is the exact same ending.
