Elizabeth frowned, stilling her needlework again. No, she hadn’t seen Jack since leaving the deck of his beloved ship, but he was there, nonetheless. As much as she loved Will, and she did, with all her heart, there was a part of Jack that clung to her, refusing to let go until she acknowledged it.
When she’d first said goodbye to him and begun life anew as Elizabeth Turner, she’d half expected him to turn up at any moment to sweep her off into another adventure – and she’d be lying if she’d said that she didn’t partly want that. That is, until she found herself pregnant with Will’s child. There was no question about returning to the seas after that.
As the years had passed and no sign of Jack appeared, Elizabeth resigned herself to the fact that she was reaping what she had sown, and there was no regret in that. She had left Jack to the Kraken in order to save the rest of the crew, including herself. It had been the only solution, and yet it had broken something within the both of them that had never been fully recovered in the days after returning from World’s End. It should not have surprised her that Jack had stayed away.
But she missed him. It surprised her, but she missed him almost as much as she missed Will, and Elizabeth knew that if Jack knew that, he would be impossible to bear. Grinning to herself, Elizabeth pictured Jack’s cocky grin and glinting teeth. Her heart ached, and she gently pressed the memory of his face from her mind. Thinking of Jack only reminded her of the sea – of the life she’d dreamed of her entire life, only to let it slip through her fingers with only the least resistance.
i love how Jack has to get cleaned up to pretend to be her brothers so the ladies of Port Royal won't realize he is the infamous Jack Sparrow...it's so hot...she is Elizabeth Turner and they have no idea that she is so closely connected to the infamous Captain that they tell stories about...I love how she wants to claw the ladies' eyes out when they talk about Jack.....and I love how she faints when she sees Jack.....it's so awesome....I love how William is fascinated with Jack..but yet feels barely a connection to his real father...I read Chapter 9 in the tub last night....i printed it off the computer...cuz hubby was home and he gets so jealous when i'm clued to the computer reading about johnny and jack..i know i'm sinning in my obsession..but i just can't help myself.....
don't know if you ladies have seen this one or not..but this is one of TMaria's vids she made for me before the release of AWE back in april and it's simply beautiful and sad.....

and i Love How Liz was impressed when Jack was acting Charming with the ladies!!! lol....He had several smooth lines...lol...I only fell more in love with him!!!
First was both beautiful but sad and LOOOOOOOOL! to "Jessie's girl"! I was watching the original video yesterday...(which is awesome BTW...I have an obsession with old singers like Billy Joel, Rick springfield...) and I was thinking how awesome it would be if it were called "Will's girl"..heeeheee!

The way he pretends he doesn't love her...he sacrifices himself because he can't be the man she wants (or so he thinks) and ends up hurting both of them but he's actually trying to do what's best for her. *sigh* if only T&T loved Sparrabeth like we do.

I too love how he pretends not to love for the sake of her and her son....it's so romantic......so hearthbreaking......and their love is still so forbidden..just as it always has been...two star crossed lovers who love each other but can never be.....oh the sorrow...thus the song "Have I told you I ache".........

I know...I wasn't for the ending either. It was so sad...but the thing I loved about it was that she gave him two minutes...two minutes to have her and since I'm just a fool for romance I thought the concept really romantic. But the ending really went on my nerve...I mean...after having Jack how CAN you go back?

the song is by none other than the awesome Coldplay called "The Scientist" and this video is awesome...so bittersweet...so Sparrabeth......watch it...she puts into slow motion as Gibbs says "You're Chariot awaits"...and it shows how sad Jack looks leaning against the railing of the Pearl..the same railing where he and Lizzy spent so much time together in DMC.....and he looks so sad....and then she walks up to him and tells him bye......
this is the caption that she has attached to her video..and it so explains eveyrthing we sparrabether's have talked about ever since last year...and my dear friends...tomorrow it will be one year since DMC entered our lives....july 7......
[ There are some key elements in this vid that I feel should be brought up as the sparrabeth communities have always been buzzing about that are displayed in this vid:
Rum - One of the most obvious of sparrabeth signs since rum refers back to the day Elizabeth burned Jack's rum; when he first fell for her (in the words of TnT, the woman he was attracted to then infuriated with or the woman he wouldn't have been so infuriated with if he hadn't been so attracted to her.)
Compass - No matter which way you slice it, that compass always targeted some how at Elizabeth. Even at the end of AWE, whether it pointed to her or not does not matter considering he'd been no longer vexed but instead accepted his love for her but realized it was time to move on.
Their Song - One of the most memorable sparrabeth moments, we're always drawn back to the island scene where Elizabeth was in fact the one to teach it to him.
We're told that Jack was vexed ever since the end of CotBP, and wasn't it funny that he had been singing their song? Now, to have him singing it again at the end of AWE hints to me at least that she's still on his mind and will always be in his heart.
I bring up those three key points because I ask you to try to spot them in the video when they arise and appreciate the meaning behind them.
