Okay my fellow sparrabethers...if you visit Tasty Pirates, then you may have seen this already...but here is a post by Ventoux, and the more I read it and the more I think about it, the more it makes sense, unfortunately. There is a part of me, the optimistic dreamer that hangs on the slight chance, that maybe just maybe what we saw at the end of AWE wasn't all that met the eye...but then I read this and the pessimistic realist side of me has to agree with the fact that J/E is over, and it breaks my heart...the same part of me that I fought with during the year that we awaited AWE's release..the same part that got me chewed out for saying that the Tortuga clip was icing on the cake for what we had been reading but refused to admit to ourselves for months....

Everything she says I agree with...the story of The Governor's Daughter and the Blacksmith has been told, they met as children, they grew up in love, he couldn't even call her by her first name but was willing to die for her, they fought with and for each other, she killed the sexiest Pirate to save the boring Whelp, she spent half of AWE chasing after Will (just as we feared), they married, they had sex, they had a child...story is over...boring as it was..it's over...thank goodness.
I agree with her...there is no way I could sit through another story showing Will and Liz and their "family"......if it's not gonna be j/e, then please don't bring Keira and Orlando back....I for one, am done with that, I'm so over it..I was over it before it ever began....I thought it was finally over in DMC that's why I was so excited...but alas, Elizabeth went back to being ......I don't even know how to explain it.....
I've pushed this to the back of my mind. We've touched on it many times before and it's so hard to say out loud. As much as I wanted J/E....Elizabeth sucked big time in AWE. There I said it. I cannot accept the fact that she killed jack simply to slake her lust and drown her guilt. The only reason she wanted to rescue Jack was to ease her guilt and it had nothing to do with caring about Jack. That's how Disney chose to portray this in AWE. They never talk about it, it's swept under the carpet except for the small line "four of you tried to kill me in the past, one of you succeeded".....PLOTHOLE...
The Elizabeth that we saw and grew to love throughout COTBP and DMC was non-exixtent in AWE.
I said it a while back..if in fact the only reason she killed Jack was to save the others and slake her lust and drown her guilt...then she is a *****. I am having a "i hate elizabeth" moment. So, maybe she deserved boring old Will after-all.....heck, wouldn't it be great if Jack found him a much more interesting gal in POTC 4 and rubbed it in her face and she'd be begging Jack to take her and forgive her...but, I know , not gonna happen.
Why is this bugging me so much. Does anyone on here honestly think that Keira was happy with what happened with Liz in AWE....or the trilogy for that matter if you take it as a whole....she is suppose to be this free-spirited spit-fire woman who does as she pleases, they took such efforts to show us in DMC how she was becoming like Jack and a true Pirate more and more everyday....yet, at the same time everything she does is because she wants to be with Will, huh? she kills Jack because ( and by the way, she never once told Jack she was sorry, i guess she was being honest when she said "i'm not sorry" after she almost kissed the poor diluted Pirate a second time......
oohhh..i'm getting angrier...which brings me to what really makes me the maddest.....all of this just makes Jack look like a silly goose....he gave into his feelings for Elizabeth...everytime he decided to trust her and open to her, she used him and for what? stupid bloody will...ugghhh...

Ah! I agree...I still (and forever will) love COTBP and DMC Elizabeth but it didn't feel the same in AWE. She wasn't the same...so great that they decided to make her develope and be more piraty and stuff but I think it should have been a bit different (and I don't mean this romantically either...I mean her character.)
I agree that JE will NEVER happen (unless u count fanfics) but I will forever love them in COTBP and DMC...I don't think anything will ever top that for me.
Maybe Orli's people sent a threatening letter to Disney and Jerry B. 😆
Much as I want Sparrabeth in POTC 4, unless Keira comes back, I can't see it happening. BUT think about this, guys, how many people actually sat through the credits and saw the end scene with the kid? If most people didn't see that, then there's still not much closure and Sparrabeth can still happen in POTC 4! Don't give up hope...yet!
