Yes, they were long. My hubby was like "do we really have to sit here." I was like "yes, there's something to see at the end of the credits, there always is"...plus I had already seen it on youtube but I had to see it with my very own eyes and then I puked. LOL figuratively, not literally.
I know not many people saw it, but it was there for a reason. I'm sorry I'm being pessimistic, but I wonder how long I can hold on to a dream that may never come to be...I mean, I dreamed and hoped for one year and then look what happened. I think the end credits was a final nail in the coffin as Ventoux said. It's their way of telling Sparrabethers "look they're married, they had a son, they're waiting on the beach and now here comes Will"...it's over, fine'...That's All Folks. Elizabeth and Will Turner's stories have been told. I don't think either of them will be back, once that is confirmed then we will all have to start speculating about what kind of adventures Jack will have up his sleeves without them. cuz up until the day he met them two, his life was kind of boring, too. All three of their lives changed that fateful day in Port Royal, but then in the end they all ended up right back where they started....well, except Liz is now Mrs. Turner (if you consider Barbossa a Captain)....
Ah, I just thought about the good bye scene when Barbossa calls her "Mrs. Turner"....and she smiles at him.....I wonder how and when Jack knew that they were married. Poor Jack..okay here I go again...I'm talking to myself and then reversing everything I said.
I think Keira would return for POTC4 if she thought it could be "j/E' I think she's done with W/E.....but would Disney really let there be something, the only way...would be if dear William passed away...or set her free because he enjoys his job on the dutchman....Oh, I don't know I go back and forth on this....because I just can't seem to let go....

I watched this again this morning....gealuv makes amazing Sparrabeth videos...this is the Sparrabeth Trailer she made just prior to AWE's release....just reminded me how much I loved DMC, even though it was all one big sham...

^^^Well, I'm not so sure about her being my favorite character besides Jack anymore..the more I think about it....I'm kind of upset that the only reason she wanted to rescue Jack was because of her guilt, I was hoping it was more than that. The fact that she killed Jack and it was all such for a selfish reason, that's got me kind of upset with her. I know it's not her fault, it's the writers, directors, etc. Even though she becomes Pirate King - thanks to Jack - all she cares about is making things up to Will, being with Will, marrying Will, having sex with Will....to hell with what she did to jack, not once did she even apologize or explain to him or ...I don't even know what i'm trying to see..I just thought she would be different in AWE....
but Sparrabeth..I love them...she's at her best when she is around Jack, squaring off with jack..she's full of life, fire, instead of looking sad and depressed all the time...

lovethemtigers, you´re so right. for me there was absolutely no connection to the ending in dmc. why develope such a great tension between the characters, such a great development of the personalities, such a great, unexpected ending and then forget, or rather ignore everything in the next movie??? for me that was simply ridiculous. it seems they were making up a great story for awe and then someone else said: oh no, we´ll better just make the typical happy end, that´s what people want to see, so we´ll be on the safe side.
