Sparrabeth

They could have made a classic, but they were satidfied by a simple typical love story.

So sad. Pirates of the Caribbean was supposed to reach audiences from 8 to 80, yet the ending seemed to be directed towards just the eight year olds - they probably wouldn't understand why lizzie would want to leave will.

🙁 (sigh)

indeed...from what i´ve heard of others they all didn´t like awe because they could see the connection to dmc. this story is so enormously boring that it really hurts. but i think that many of you agree with me...
i just can´t understand why they´ve done this to this lovely characters.
i quite liked elizabeth until awe came out. she was so unhuman in this movie and did things even jack wouldn´t do. it´s really sad...

I sadly say they did quite a patchwork, they didn't think it over. The actors and actresses gave their best, but the writers and the director whoever don't get the best grade.

Savvysparrowluv, YOUR SIGGY IS AMAZING!!!! 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄

ok, with my momentary madness out of the way, i have to say that i agree with everyone...i went to see the film 4 times...after the 1st time i watched it, i realised that i only wanted to see it for Jack, because otherwise there was no point.

Was it just me or did elizabeth not try enough with will throughout the WHOLE film??? We got so much emotion out of her when she sees jack again for the first time...that joyous look on her face, and then the guilt as she looks back at will...

And then with will, she just didnt seem bothered?? (maybe im being either bias or keira really had a problem with having to end the story with Orlando lol😄) ...Except for when they were on the island...

stupid island...

That's true, she didn't seem to try hard with Will. Keira seemed so convincing in Pride and Prejudice (although she prefers the other guy from this movie), so It's not like she can't create a chemistry with an actor that she is not attracted to. If she'd wanted she would have looked like being more in love with Will. I think it's all because of her Sparrabether nature 😉 She simply couldn't pretend, because maybe, deep inside her heart, she believed that her character would stay with Jack. 😉

The island scene seemed so fake to me.

It must have been her sparrabeth heart.

well it would be interesting to know if keira maybe wanted more sparrabeth. ok, facing the fact that nearly EVERY women wants to be kissed by johnny we MAYBE understand that😉 but i mean i really want to know what she thinks about the characters. did she ever say something about sparrabeth?

Thanks T.Maria! 😄

I agree with all the above, I think that in her heart, Keira truly believed her character would actually grow and end up with Jack. Instead poor lizzie ended up with the stupid whelp (takes deep breath). I'm like T. Maria, I went to see the movie three times, and it was all for Jack - still not quite sure how I managed thorugh all the whelpabeth scenes - bleh. This is kind of gross, but its just like comparing phelgem (whelpabeth) and chocolate ice cream (sparrabeth).

I'm glad that the movie was a Disney Franchise, I mean, hey, we get the ride, all the awesome merchandise, the costumes etc. but we also got the crappy ending. Why could Warner Bros or Universal Studios have made Pirates of the Caribbean? Why???

^^^Well, because Disney owns Pirates of the Caribbean...but I agree....to bad it had to have the typical Disney ending.....

I agree with everyone...I truly think Keira thought that Lizzy would go free and go off on grand adventures with Jack....ever notice how she says his name "Jack"...just something about it....

I'm sure she would have much prefered to have the beach scene with Johnny over Orli.....

I only saw AWE once...mainly because I never had another opportunity to go see it ...but mainly because i simply dispised the movie (excpet for Jack, of course)...I guess if I had been in love with the movie like I was DMC I would have found an opportune moment to return to the theatre...but alas, there was no urgency, no driving force, no yearning...like after DMC..I wanted to go to the movies everyday because I yearned to see Jack and Lizzy.....

me too. i saw dmc for about 8 time and still love to watch it. awe i saw only once and i don´t feel any kind of desire to see it again which is pretty sad...

times

I saw AWE quite a few times but I simply didn't love it as much as I loved the other two. I didn't leave the theatre feeling all excited and in love, instead I felt a hole the size of Will's mouth (when it hangs open) in my heart.

I dunno..perhaps it's the fact that we're Sparrabethers cause my parent sactually loved it. My mom still thinks COTBP is better...my dad and I love DMC but they both loved AWE too.

Anways I have (with much alarm) discovered that my dad is a JE shipper. How did THAT happen?
The part where Elizabeth wants to greet Jack but doesn't because of Will? My dad was like 'Awwww! She loves him...it's SO obvious.' and in the end he was like 'great movie but remind me...WHY did he stay with the whelp? Wasn't she in love with Jack?'

Alas my dear daddy...a girl might seem like she's in love with the gorgeuos sexy pirate but she actually loves the whelp! Why? Search me dad cause you won't find the answer.

My parents were actually expecting to see Jack sailing away sadly because Elizabeth had left and then discovering that Elizabeth had actually stayed behind...yeah right! My dad even wanted to make a bet but I saved him the trouble and told him I already knew THAT wasn't gonna happen.

Sorry to ramble but...even my parents like JE! That has to count for something

So cool that your parents love sparrabeth!

My parents are semi-sparrabeth. Mom thinks that the whelp deserves lizzie's affection b/c of the whole Disney thing. The good boy gets the good girl - retch. Its the 21st century Disney, the bad boy can get the girl!

Exactly the way I felt haha

Everyone else was like, "Wow, that was good. Wasn't it good? Much better than I expected."

Except the second time I saw it with my aunt and she wasn't thrilled with it.

the bad boy who is a good boy.

he's not a 'bad' boy.. well, sort of.. he's the dashing sidekick of the naive and clueless blacksmith. But because of his hot status, he made his way into being the hotter hero than the original whelp.

did that make sense? >.<

Very much.
