guys, i was working on a really funny little vid, sort of black and white with translations, but my windows movie maker is being funky and keeps shutting down. are there any other movie maker software thingies you can download for free> ?

windows movie maker.
i think thats how most people (including me) make their vids 😄

need anymore help, just ask 😄

That look he gives her at the end of AWE...(swoons). Yes, I know he's playing cool, but it's almost as if he's begging her with his eyes to stay, maybe trying to will her to. It's by far the most intense of all the goodbye looks he gives her. Sigh...angst. I know deepdown I'm fine with how things turned out, but it's such a missed opportunity. If they never intended her to be with him, then why have him fall for her at all? There are other women out there, some of which would be good matches for him. They could have surfaced somehow and walked into his life, sword drawn, grin wide-spread, and heart all set. But no. Jack fell in love with Elizabeth fully knowing it wouldn't happen even though he continually begs her to love him back without saying a word.

A Pirate's Heart has a new chappie 😄 now...with pushing PG-13 Smut 💃

OMG...I've found a new Sparrabeth video...it's like my favorite one since the Scientist...it's the most perfect song....

"Simple Together" by Alanis Morisette....

the lyrics...

You’ve been my golden best friend
Now with post-demise at hand
Can’t go to you for consolation
Cause we’re off limits during this transition

This grief overwhelms me
It burns in my stomach
And I can’t stop bumping into things

I thought we’d be simple together
I thought we’d be happy together
Thought we’d be limitless together
I thought we’d be precious together
But I was sadly mistaken

You’ve been my soulmate and mentor
I remembered you the moment I met you
With you I knew god’s face was handsome
With you I suffered an expansion

This loss is numbing me
It pierces my chest
And I can’t stop dropping everything

I thought we’d be sexy together
Thought we’d be evolving together
I thought we’d have children together
I thought we’d be family together
But I was sadly mistaken

If I had a bill for all the philosophies I shared
If I had a penny for all the possibilities I presented
If I had a dime for every hand thrown up in the air
My wealth would render this no less severe

I thought we’d be genius together
I thought we’d be healing together
I thought we’d be growing together
Thought we’d be adventurous together
But I was sadly mistaken

Thought we’d be exploring together
Thought we’d be inspired together
I thought we’d be flying together
Thought we’d be on fire together
But I was sadly mistaken

Bloopers!!!

"Seriously we only see that Look on Jack's face when Elizabeth is around and leaving (his heartbreaks everytime)!! HE FREAKIN LOVES HER!!!! UUUUGGGHHHH!!!!! *screams in frustration*"-----PirateDiva

I'd be very interested in sitting down with Johnny and really discussing his character, I mean REALLY discussing it. It can't be an accident that he gives certain expressions to some characters. Every little bit of his performance is calculated out. He BECOMES Jack, so every little gesture and facial expression is for a reason and I want to know why (if for any reason other than "it's in the script"😉 he chose to play off of Keira that certain way. Are we supposed to infer there's something going on, or is this something else? It's such an enigma to me that if they wanted Jack to be carefree and wild, why make him fall for anyone, and if they wanted him to fall for someone, why make it be a girl who was already in love with another guy? Are they sadists? Jack is no masochist. He does not enjoy pain.

I agree, Willo. To sit down with Johnny and just talk about his character - simply amazing...*sigh*

OMG those bloopers were so funny 🙂

Maybe they wanted to add depth to his character, otherwise, he'll become too cartoonish and be just a sideshow. TnT probably wanted us to question whether Jack was really what he was made out to be, that is, just another badass pirate who treasured only material gains and freedom to do whatever he wanted with no qualms at all. In CotBP, we saw glimpses of the heroic and noble side of Jack, in DMC it was played out fully when he went back to the Black Pearl after initially escaping from it and the Kraken and in AWE, we discovered that he actually saved slaves from their fate on board his ship. Since Jack has such innate qualities, can these be played out when he finally falls in love, the ultimate test of what a person really stands for?

did Jack really fall in love with Elizabeth? i don't think so... i think he was on the verge of it, i think he came very close. i think he flirted with the idea of it for a while, got in over his head, got a slap of reality, ya know? the potential was there, but then, the actual circumstances pretty much made it impossible for him to go all the way to "falling in love".

i will say, the thing that may have bothered me most about film 3 (oh heck, the whole film did..) was when Jack was having that inner monologue with himself, and said something to the effect of going to port every ten years, where he could get salty wenches.
now, we all know jack is a scoundrel and a womanizer to some degree, but the phrase "salty wenches" may as well have been "cheap meaningless sex with whoever i see first", and i think it was disrespectful to the character they had created-- a character who was certainly a pirate, but with a different thing about him, ya know? a good side, as it were. that line in the movie implied that he never had serious feelings for women, ever, and was I think aimed at making sparrabeth seem ridiculous. ya'll know what i mean?

Miz Katelovespirate, I didn't like that line either, nor the foolishness with port, no I like rum--the good/bad jacks hanging on the braids--I kinda hope that was failed humor one oh one.

I think Jack's line, my first and only love is the sea says a lot. He knows about loving someone, he knows about being tamed, but what he does, when need presses him to do so, is have Scarlett and Giselle. He is dedicated to, obessed with, getting back the Pearl and killing Barbossa, and his first love.

In the ten year period where he went from pillar to post, crewing for the rum runners what got him off the island, to whatever other berth he was able to make for himself on whoever's ship he could go to, Jack didn't ever just decide, oh phooey enough already, I'm settling down with Billie Sue over here and no more pirating.

Just from how he is presented, you know if he had decided to have a little missus waiting on the docks, keeping the home fires burning, he'd have just that and nothing would have stopped him. It seems to me sorta like he was in the cell in PotC, "I see no benefit in it for me" (to have a 'real' relationship with a woman, family).

Of course, things change and Elisabeth came along and he was older and feeling like the change was coming hard and fast, so I know he was drawn to her sweetness (and pragmatic nature), her light, her thrist for life and experience--very attractive, I know he must have seen in Elisabeth, himself. So, no doubt, he loved that little woman, in AWE it really felt like he risked himself for her, in a spiritual way rather than becoming Kraken fodder. Did he love her more than freedom--big sigh--he loved her, I can't begin to think how to measure such a thing.

oh, by the way, did you happen to really look at the photo (god bless you LuvsTT, you are a significant contributor to my off line, daydream special, lots of creamy goodness in one package fantasies) of Mr. Depp as Captn. Jack, the top one--please say 30 oh baby-s and 20 OMGs breathe breathe--or until you can breathe again without reminding yourself.

Kate, hopefully you're right. It's the main reason I want to discuss Jack with Johnny. What is going on there? I'm inclined to agree with you, and I would, if it weren't for that last scene. That look says a lot, but none of it is clear. He obviously will miss her, but will he miss a dear friend that's become a sister to him, or will he miss the love that got away? Yes, if anything, he was on the verge of falling in love with her, and I think he was open to it, but things happened and it's a mystery to me if those romantic feelings disappeared altogether. That last look makes me question everything.

Kate, I think Jack was on the verge of falling for Liz ever since CotBP. He kept thinking of her in DMC which was why his compass wouldn't work. At the end of DMC, he finally came to terms that he was in love with her, that was why he came back to the Pearl and shot the Kraken. He allowed her to kiss him as by then, his heart was open to hers, believing that she could feel that way too. He felt betrayed by her not only because she sacrificed him to the Kraken, he also felt betrayed as he was fool enough to fall in love with her, something that Jack, given his nature, would not even try to go there. That was why he was so angry with her and very cautious towards her in AWE. Even up till the end, he still loved her and he knew that she knew she had something for him but she refused to admit it ("keep tellin' urself that, darlin'"😉.
