Some more...*sigh* How much I love this couple....

LOVE THEM!!! Thankee so much for those savvysparrowluv!

There was a press junket with Gore Verbinski about the release of AWE and of course the fabulous question about a possible Pirates 4 movie was asked....his answer:

"The trilogy is over. All the plots that were introduce from the first movie have been answered. So if there is a 4th I would like to start fresh focus on the adventures of Captain Jack!" not exact words but very along those lines.

Apparently the man hasn't seen his own movie cause AWE is filled with PLOTHOLES that still need EXPLAINING!!! I dont know where he gets that all the plots have been answered??!

WHAT??? "All plots have been answered"?? Did he not see his own movie? Gah! SO MUCH IS LEFT TO BE EXPLAINED. Grrrrr. *sigh*

Though I wouldn't say no for another glimpse of Jack Sparrow in a new movie, it just wouldn't be the same without Lizzie *sigh*

Ya something is gonna be missing but who knows brilliant minds will work on this movie and maybe they'll fill the voide somehow!! *rolls her eyes at hearing her own words*

"Willo, why don't you write that scene for us??? You are so good at writing Jack and Liz. Then we could all imagine it out and insert it into the film when we watch it, making the whole experience better."----Kate

Ooh, a challenge. Thanks for the compliment. I will see what I can do. 😄 It breaks the heart to write a scene knowing that will be the end, though.

(to be viewed right after the "at dawn we're at war" line)

(The room begins to clear out. The short pirate lord looks up at Elizabeth and has to take a step back to get a clear view of her. She looks down at him and wears a confident expression, already knowing she is being judged as king. The short pirate lord nods gruffly and signals for his two bodyguards to follow him out.)

Barbossa: A sign of the apocalypse, I'm sure.

Elizabeth: I didn't hear you doing anything to help the situation. At any rate, you'll be coming with me to Beckett.

Gibbs: (reacts in surprise) Our paths best not be crossed with that vile sot until we're all in our ships.

Elizabeth: He has something we want. (turns to Jack. They don't say anything. Barbossa looks back at Jack, perhaps eyeing his Piece of 8.)

Barbossa: (shaking his head as he starts to leave) a surer sign than a pale horse.

(The rest follow him out into a vast opening of a cave. It leads out to the beach where their ships are anchored. A small stream of water runs down the cave, keeping away from the alcove where the brethren court just met. The water reflects off the rocks and gives the cave an eerie, magical atmosphere. Barbossa and Gibbs exit out to the blinding sand and sun of the beach. Elizabeth lingers, waiting for Jack.)

Elizabeth: Why did you do that?

Jack: Do what?

Elizabeth: Just about everyone in that room has more experience than me.

Jack: And most of them, with the exception of our formerly undead friend, could be talked into or threatened into doing whatever anyone else wanted. This way, we're at war.

Elizabeth: It wouldn't surprise me if they all turned their ships around and left us.

Jack: Pirates may do just that. (keeps watching her out of the corner of his eye) And what does her majesty propose we do about young William's predicament.

(Elizabeth shivers at the mentioning of Will. Whether it is out of concern or avoidance is purposely vague.)

Elizabeth: (looks at the ground, then back up, exhaling) That's going to need some improvising.

Jack: (edging closer) Or, you can shoot the blaggard then and there and put at least some of this all behind us, eh?

(They look at each other, doing nothing about the silence. They are standing very close, almost as close as a moment they both have on their minds.)

(Just as Elizabeth starts to back away, Jack crashes his lips onto hers, his hands around her back, pushing her up against the dark cave. They close their eyes, savoring the moment. For too short a time, they allow themselves to forget everything else and their kiss deepens, their bodies accepting it with much more openness than they are.)

(They finally break apart, floored by what has just happened. Jack allows a slight grin to appear across his face.)

Jack: Had to get even with you.

(They smile and Elizabeth suppresses a laugh)

Jack: No chance in talking the King into taking on the famous Captain Jack Sparrow, is there, love?

Elizabeth: Jack, if things were different...there's Will.

Jack: Yes, yes, the lad doesn't look like much but he tends to grow on one. 'Tis for the best. Wouldn't want to tempt fate thanks to that heart anyway.

Elizabeth: Heart?

(Jack clams up about it. Elizabeth will remember this reference later.)

Jack: Like you said, darling, if things were different. (he pulls her in and they share a far more chaste kiss than their last one, knowing it will be the last)

Elizabeth: That's the kiss of a good man.

Jack: I know, but don't tell anyone. (he looks back into the alcove)

Elizabeth: (starting to head out to the beach) Are you coming?

Jack: Go on, love. I'll be along directly. (wanders into the alcove)

(insert scene between Jack and Teague)

*clutches heart*

If only! That was amazing, Willo - I could totally see this in the movie. Whenever I buy the DVD, I'm going to pause the movie and read this scene during that part! 😄 Thanks so much for writing this for us, love!

OMG!!! Willo! Can I nominate that little piece alone for the Sparrabeth awards?? lol

seriously I'll probably do the same as Savvysparrowluv! pause the movie, read this passage, then resume it! see even a little scene like this they couldn't give us!!! NOTHING!! grrrrrr! 😠

Aw, thanks. I guess you can tell by the grammar mistakes that I was really really REALLY into what I was writing and had to post as soon as possible. I appreciate the praise!

Oh, and I LOVE the manips, especially the very first one with them holding each other in bed. It's beautiful and to me looks the most real. If only... but I do know a lot of fics that that would make a good cover to.

Glad you liked the manips, I read that that particular one is a manip from "The Man Who Cried" 😉

I love the 2nd man who cried!! the one of then sort of in the dark!! SEXY!!!! That one looks the most real to me I Love it!!! 🙂

Willo! I'll probably do same as ssl and Diva

I know I've said this before Willo, but I really mean it: that's my FAVORITE thing you've written thus far on this forum... it was MAGIC. Absolute MAGIC. Every line, every bit of it, perfect. Suddenly, AWE seems complete. I just feel like heaving a great big sigh of relief and going, AH! NOW the movie makes sense. NOW that movie would be bearable. The pale horse references were brilliant, and the line "the kiss of a good man" seems to bring all three movies full circle. I LOVE IT. It's exactly what I was imagining.

I propose sending this scene far and wide to disappointed sparrabethers everywhere, giving them the closure they've so desperately needed. 🙂

BRAVO, and Thank you!

Sorry, gals, like I've said before, I find manips very weird and freaky. But I like Willo's attempt to show a hot kiss between Liz and Jack.

I hope Disney and Gore know what they'll be doing to POTC 4. It seems as if they don't want Sparrabeth or Willabeth for that matter anymore. But if POTC 4 is just Jack and Barbossa, they'll definitely alienate a lot of their 16-45 year old female audience who like to see Jack falling in love. I'd hate it if POTC 4 became another Transformers type movie.

Ugh, yeah - a "guy movie" so to speak would be horrible

Isn't COTBP technically a guy movie since the romance was pretty much just a catalyst for everything else to happen? And Transformers was a lot of fun. I don't think we need to see Jack actually fall in love, but at least give him the potential to, you know? Have a girl (cough, Kate Beckinsale, cough) who will be able to challenge him and make us feel that he's met his match. They don't have to be a full-fledged couple by the end, but having something in the works would be nice.

COTBP certainly isn't a chick flick, but I didn't see it as a total guy movie either - I actually didn't see Transformers, so I can't make an opinion there. I agree Willo, having something at least in the works would be fantastic in a fourth movie. *sigh*

Hey girls,

I've got some new info about the Q and A on the DVDs and info about Elizabeth's faithfulness.

SPOILERS FOR DVD BELOW!!!!

What does the future hold for Will and Elizabeth? Now that he's captain of the Flying Dutchman, is she going to wait for him?
True love never dies, but their story is yet to be told.

Since Will honoured his destiny on the Flying Dutchman,in 10 years, does he get to return to land for good, thereby freeing his father and crew?
Every ten years, Will may step on land for one day. He is bound to the Flying Dutchman forever.

Why did Calypso turn into crabs?
As a heathen goddess, she's able to take many forms. Since the pirates attributed the crab as her symbol, she chose that form.

If Will's father isn't dead and can travel with his son, why can't Elizabeth see Will on the Dutchman?
Will's father is not alive - he and all the other crewmen on the Dutchman are in a state between the living and the dead. Elizabeth will not survive the journeys where the ship must travel - so she is not able to join the crew.

How and when was Will resurrected?
The Dutchman must have a captain. Having stabbed the heart of Davy Jones, Will must assume his place as captain of the ship. Will is resurrected once the Dutchman crew cuts out his heart and after Davy Jones falls into the Maelstrom.

Barbossa was Captain Jack's first mate, so how can he be a Pirate Lord?
At some time in the past, the Pirate Lord of the Caspian Sea passed his Piece of Eight to Barbossa. That is a story yet to be told.

Did Tia Dalma bring Barbossa back from the dead because he was a Pirate Lord?
Yes. Tia Dalma/Calypso needed all the Pirate Lords in order to assemble the Brethren Court, so they could release her from her human bonds. Calypso resurrected Barbossa and tricked him to retrieve Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones' Locker and summon a meeting of the Brethren.

What's Calypso shouting when she's freed from her human bonds?
She is yelling insults at the pirates in her native tongue.

How did Prison Dog escape Pelegostos Island?
He rode on the backs of sea turtles lashed together with his fur.

The Curse can not be broken. It's not JE, but at least the "Elizabeth must be faithful" crap has gone out the window. HA!

"their story is yet to be told..."

hmmm. well, they renigged on a lot of what they implied in movies 1,2, and 3 for that matter. they really didn't clear much up. i dont know why they feel the urge to keep the audience in a continued state of suspence when the trilogy has ALREADY BEEN COMPLETED. maybe the commentary will help some. it seems that the writers and the director all had their own opinion of where things were leading. irritating.

i think Elizabeth's faithfullness is an interesting discussion. Does her being faithful mean her being absolutely celibate and bound to Will forever, or rather, until she dies after seeing him 5 times? OR, does she just have to be at THE SPOT once every ten years, with no further constraints on what she does in between?

Disney would probably opt for option 1, Keira would undoubtedly insist on option 2. For anyone over the age of 12, it is unromantic and grotesque to assume that's all she gets. It's like being widowed at age 20 and never loving again.

BUT, how many of us would really want her to be galavanting around with Jack without Will's blessing when she is technically stilled married to Will?

This is why Norrington needed to survive.
