I just saw Atonement last night. Cried at the end and then laughed. All the performances were award winning and the directing too. The screen play and the little flash-back tricks were out of this world.
Still (and I'm not saying this cause I'm more of a JD fan than a Keira fan, my family agrees on this basically) even though Keira's performance is more likely to win an award Johnny's was the one that stands out to the audience most. It was almost like he was playing a comical-horror character. It just went under my skin as a character.
They were both amazing and deserve to win an award in my opinion.

ah yes that effing hat 🙄 its strange that Jack loses his, Liz has a weird straw hat then suddenly out of nowhere when she meets Jack she's sporting a tricorn hat that resembles Jack's lost one,
I will forever wonder why the hell they did that because in film, you're not supposed to allow the continuity to go wrong like that..and that was a pretty huge thing for them to miss and not explain in the editing process...unless its symbolic for Jack..that type of hat.
wahhh.... you know T and T have been sort of off their game lately, speaking of plot holes and annoying side trips into forbidden romances. dont smite me or anything, but they need to get back to their aladdin, mask of zorro roots. you know, girl meets boy, girls meets pirate, pirate and girl sail into sunset, boy grows up and goes away.... the good old stories.
