I guess the only satisfaction I could get out of Pirates 3 for Sparrabeth is that at least Jack and Liz are still alive and not seperated by a damn curse! Sooner or later they'll give into the feelings they have! And to be real the way they ended Sparrabeth in Pirates 3 I think is the real reason as to why there is soooo much Sparrabeth fic out there because it was so left open to interpretation.

Read my fic for a birthday present, Diva. Wow, our birthdays and ages are close. Mine is the 22nd and I will be 23. Don't think sparrabeth ruined your life. Think of it as a way for you to come here to this forum and make a ton of friends. And we would have never had that great kiss in DMC if sparrabeth never happened. We were right. These are the two links that show what the mythbusters have done as far as pirate myths go. Just search the page for the word "pirate" and it will take you right to them. According to them, Will should have died several times. Imagine if he had died in DMC and wasn't part of Jack's rescue mission. That would have been a very different movie.
No i know it didnt ruin my life I just had a fleeting moment of hopelessness...lol! It's just that sometimes I think myself helpless and I feel that my love and addiction for Sparrabeth will never be cured! lol but I do thank my lucky stars everyday that I found this forum and met all of you! 😄

Also I've come to make another suggestion for a fanfic! It's written by the same author who wrote "Beyond the Far Horizon"! It's a beautiful story and in it I absolutely love how she captures Jack's madness!! It's just a really great story! Very Dark and very Beautifully written!

Check this out. I was reading the trivia for AWE on imdb.com and supposedly, this poem (or parts of it) are tattooed on Jack's back. It's an anachronism since it wasn't written until the 1920s, but it's still there. Let's see if any of it applies to Jack.

Well I'll be damn! That may well be the very standards that Jack lives by dont you think? It's like his Anthem! I could see why this poem would be chosen to be "tatooed" on Jack's body! And it would certainly explain his "his-happy-go-lucky" attitude towards everything (unless pushed of course) especially after everything his been through you would think he's be bitter and unhappy, but Jack always manages to look on the brighter side of things!

Well, just have to get this off my chest.......Why do I still obsess over Sparrabeth...I really need to get a life!
To be honest my friends...this entire movie (AWE) was screwed up. When I think about the months following DMC when I use to think about what could happen in AWE - nothing even came close to what we got. Nothing was resolved. Nothing was addressed and plotlines were just dropped into Davy's Locker. the movie was one big sloppy mess.
I remember thinking how I couldn't wait to see Jack and lIzzy's reunion....and how they were going to feel when they found out that Will saw them kissing...and what was the big secrect pass between jack and beckett...what mark did jack leave on beckett.....Norrington's story was so screwed up...I wanted him to be the one to have a change of heart..to live and survive..to be the hero and deliver the heart to Jack and join forces with the Pirates..drop that wig and leg his hair down again like he did in DMC.......no longer the ice cream cone!
I remember when the rumor came out that Will was going to stab the heart...I dreamed that he would be the brave and heroic man and step aside.....that based on a conversation at some point in AWE with his father...that he would realize the right thing to do would be to stab the heart and take his place with his father and Let Elizabeth and Jack be together. I evnisioned that Jack was poised to stab the heart so that Lizzy and Will could be together..but then Will would rush to take his place as he saw the distress on Lizzy's face......
I think what happened between Jack and Lizzy wasn't planned...she didn't plan to have these feelings for Jack, and he didn't plan to have them for her..he tried to stay away from her.....he knew it was wrong...but then there she was in front on him in Tortuga...and he couldn't resist flirting with her...he was drawn to her, like a moth to flame. And the same for her. When two people meet and fall in love...they don't plan it. So, Liz thought she loved Will....everyone has a first love, but they don't always end up with that first love...so, I would think that Bootstrap would make Will see that Jack and lIzzy didn't plan to fall in love, they did everything to avoid hurting him....and being a good man he would do the noble thing and step aside....that he would realize he did not want to be with a woman who truly longed to be with someone else.
I just knew it was going to be so great......and instead, it was the worst movie ever....and I think it's the worst movie ever for me because I was anticipating it so bad..and wanted such a different outcome......
I mean, Johnny Depp is in it...and obviously we can't stop thinking about this movie..because we are still here on the 4th day of Feburary 2008 talking about it....so I mean.....I still love the Pirate Trilogy...I just don't care for the third installment.......I've only seen it once...and i"m not really sure if I will ever watch it again.....
I'm not going to go so far as to say it was the worst movie ever, but I do agree with you in a lot of ways, tigers. I still think T&T just dug themselves into a hole they knew they could never really come out of. If they went one way, they would piss off half of their fan base. The same would be true if they went the exact other way. But, you can't please everyone, so either of these conclusions would have had to do and the other half could possibly understand. However, they decided not to make anyone happy. There is supposedly a deleted scene where Tia and Davy, through their dialogue, reveal that had Tia been faithful and waited for him, he would have been completely free. But the FAQ says that Will is forever doomed, so no willabeth, sparrabeth, norribeth, etc ending is in sight. So what does that do? It takes the love everyone felt and makes it for nothing. Other than bittersweet memories, how has being loved by these 3 men improved her life? Obviously, Will has given her a child and that's an extraordinary gift, but he can't be there for her. James is dead, and it's unclear if Jack involves himself in her life anymore. If he does, it is certainly not the same as it was before she was married. All of that love still leaves her alone on a beach where her silhouette just looks so small. We better hope nothing happens to her kid because he's all she has.

I think this says it all if this poem inspired Jack to tattoo portions of it on himself. He may not have tattooed this section but he had to have agreed with it. He is capable of love, for all the mean willabethers out there (I say the mean ones, not all of them), and the affection he feels for people is sincere. No, he doesn't want to want Elizabeth. That makes his life and his friendship with her too complicated. But he does feel things and he's telling her the complete truth when they talk. There you go.
