Colossus is VERY debatable.

Explain.

Please.

Considering that Colossus is superior to Ben in Strength, Speed, Durability, Reflexes, Skill, and even looks.

All Ben MAY have is his 'heart' and his lame ass catch phrases.

Neither of which will put Colossus down for the count.

Colossus is in no way better lookin than the everlovin Thing. That's why Thing's got a cute gf while Colossus has to go gay.

I am not doubting Colossus will win.

I'm just saying that alot of people will debate differently.

I am a major fan of both of them, I prefer the Thing, although Colossus is of course superior.

🤨

One, it's popular notion that homosexuals worry far more about their appearance than the straight culture among us. Two, I don't see how Colossus being gay OR straight affects his looks. Three, wrong Universe. Four, I take offense to you pseudo-insulting homosexuals. My roommate is gay, I have several straight, gay, bisexual, and even transgendered friends. I'd appreciate it if you weren't such a dick, a joke or not.

Thanks, 😉.

Of course there will be those that debate for the thing. The ignorant.

There are people that have debated that Wolverine will demolish Wonder Woman. Does that make it arguable that he would?

I didn't mean any offense to homosexuals, just a joke.

No hard feelings.

No, i wrote it wrong.

I meant to say that Colossus vs Thing to some people is very debatable.

People could happily debate for Wolverine, meaning to them that it is a debatable topic. 🙂

Heavyweight: If this really is a boxing match, than both Hercules and Thor should have huge advantages. Boxing was invented in Greece, and I think Herc is going to be able to roll with the punches and dish it back out in a more proper fashion than any of them. Then again, he isn't as durable or strong as a lot of the other guys on that list. Thor should also be extremely versed in boxing and other striking sports, even though grapling (ie glima) is more of a nordic tradition. Even though I don't want to, I'll bring up King Thor killing Hulk and Thing with one arm.

Bottom line is, it's a boxing match, which means folks will need to keep their feet on the ground, with no kicks, and the first KO doesn't matter as long as they keep getting up. That means folks like Hulk will keep getting up, but I think Hulk would get disqualified pretty fast for breaking the rules (especially Ult. Hulk).

IMO, it goes like this:

Heavyweight: SHAZAM, Thor, Superman, not necissarly in that order. If Herc had the strength of Superman, I'd say he'd be #1, but he doesn't...so he's not. Surfer can get stronger, but he's not really as adapt at straight h2h as Thor or Superman, and is used to being much more versitile.

Middleweight: When I saw this thread, the first thing I thought of was Ben and Thor. Ben was a previous boxer (IIRC), and thus should already be ahead of the game in this department. The fact that it's simply a boxing match puts him in my top three. The lack of being able to kick and other techniques takes She-Hulk out of the fight (IMO), and nocks Namor down from first to second or third. Most men of Peter's age learn something like Sambo in Slavic countries, and with his top tier strength and durability, I put him at first.

Middleweight: Colossus, Thing, Namor.

Lightweight: This is the biggest throw up of them all. It's not necissarly about X's fighting skill> Y's fighting skill, it's more about X's BOXING skill>Y's boxing skill. That being said, I think Cap, Spiderman (for obvious reasons), Luke (for obvious reasons), and Wolverine stand the best chances in this department. Spiderman, being arguably the strongest or one of the strongest here, mixed with pre-cog should put him on the top of the list, but the fact that he wont be able to flip all around and fight all 'capoeira' style like he normally does brings him out of 1st place. Judging by how Cap is drawn fighting in recent books suggests he's had a lot of striking/boxing style training, and puts him legues above in this competition. Luke doesn't need to jump all around to kick ass though, and I think he'll pull #1 in this department for his obvious advantages.

Lightweight: Luke, Spiderman, Captain America

EXCELLENT ANALYSIS! MightyEInherjar. You really got my concept of this being a boxing match and not just a regular fight.

VERY GOOD POST 🙂

Im sorry thats PIS.

In a ring where you can't fly/jump, kick, head butt, elboy, knee or use any other tactic that is not boxing related, and in a boxing match where there are rules that have to be followed. it goes like this:

Heavyweight:

1. Superman- Trades blows with the strongest heavyweights out there plus has the speed to counter and dodge any of the other opponents punches. Simply put he is best of the best in this category.

2. Thor- same reasons as Supes, although is slightly outclassed by him in the stick and move department.

3. Silver Surfer- probably the smartest one here. Cosmic awarmess is something of a spidersense in a way so that will help. He will probably adapt to boxing easily and is extremely fast and durable, but his lack of h2h skills will be his downfall.

Note: I would put Hulk here, but I don't think he is smart or disciplined enough to follow the rules of a boxing match.

Middleweight:

1. Wonderman- should not be in this division in the first place seeing as he consistently trades blows with the likes of Thor, and Hercules.

2. Namor- His overwhelming speed + Power makes him the next best candidate.

3. Colussus- only loses to Namor for lack of speed, but it could go either way.

Lightweight:

1. Luke Cage- No one in this division is knocking him out IMO, not even Spiderman. (Not inside a ring with boxing gloves on)

2. Spiderman- Fastest, and arguably the strongest (i dont agree) is a sure first or second place.

3. Wolverine/Sabretoothe- Great instincts, good speed and strength, and both are incredibly determined which will make it hard for the others to K.O them. It depends which ones having the better day between the two.

Note: After seeing Cap take the punishment he did from IM, I'M hesitent to not put him up here.

Re: Marvel/DC Boxing Match

Heavy Weight:

Hercules - (best boxer of the bunch!! experienced and LOVES fighting)
Superman/Captain Marvel - (super speed, strength, but not close to others in boxing)
Beta Ray Bill - (is Thor's equal, but arguably better at H2H and vicious)

honorable mention: Hulk.
He will eventually get stronger then everyone and could win,
but I can't see him boxing properly. he's no "boxer."

Middle Weight:

The Thing - (best boxer hands down!!! Went 3 rounds with Champion
when no one else could or would. Got trashed and kept coming back
for more! He must have thought Champ's fists tasted like his sweet
Aunt Petunia's apple pie.)
Namor - (strength, speed, experience, vicious. #2 only cause this is strictly boxing)
Colossus/Wonderman - (both very strong & durable. could go either way)

honorable mention: She-Hulk.
She may even beat Wondy or Colossus.

Light Weight:

Spiderman - (strength, super reflexes, speed, spidersense)
Luke Cage - (too strong, durable and vicious for everyone else)
Beast/Captain America - (Cap is best boxer here, and Beast is super strong + super agile too. Could go either way. Probably Beast.)

honorable mention: Wolverine/Sabretooth
healing factor will make it hard to put them down.
and they're both great fighters as well.

ring announcer: Howard Cosell.

Heavyweight: Thor shouldn't make anyone's list. Not when there are people that are literally millions of times faster than him in the fight. Also, Superman really shouldn't be over Captain Marvel. There's that little pretty Magical Vulnerability thing working in Billy's favor, 😉.

Middleweight: Thing shouldn't make anyone's list. He can't compete with Colossus, Namor, Wonderman, Iron-Man, or even She-Hulk.

Lightweight: Spiderman should likely be first. Even Luke Cage can't hit what he can't see (to quote Ali, and another poster earlier in this thread). Cage comes second, for sure. After that? Eh, who knows.

Thor is no slouch in the speed department. Yea Supes, Surfer, and Shazaam are faster, but Thor can hang with them especially in a ring.

Also fighters can't use special abilities, so i think the magic thing is negated.
