Two Ravens Above Us
Heavyweight: If this really is a boxing match, than both Hercules and Thor should have huge advantages. Boxing was invented in Greece, and I think Herc is going to be able to roll with the punches and dish it back out in a more proper fashion than any of them. Then again, he isn't as durable or strong as a lot of the other guys on that list. Thor should also be extremely versed in boxing and other striking sports, even though grapling (ie glima) is more of a nordic tradition. Even though I don't want to, I'll bring up King Thor killing Hulk and Thing with one arm.
Bottom line is, it's a boxing match, which means folks will need to keep their feet on the ground, with no kicks, and the first KO doesn't matter as long as they keep getting up. That means folks like Hulk will keep getting up, but I think Hulk would get disqualified pretty fast for breaking the rules (especially Ult. Hulk).
IMO, it goes like this:
Heavyweight: SHAZAM, Thor, Superman, not necissarly in that order. If Herc had the strength of Superman, I'd say he'd be #1, but he doesn't...so he's not. Surfer can get stronger, but he's not really as adapt at straight h2h as Thor or Superman, and is used to being much more versitile.
Middleweight: When I saw this thread, the first thing I thought of was Ben and Thor. Ben was a previous boxer (IIRC), and thus should already be ahead of the game in this department. The fact that it's simply a boxing match puts him in my top three. The lack of being able to kick and other techniques takes She-Hulk out of the fight (IMO), and nocks Namor down from first to second or third. Most men of Peter's age learn something like Sambo in Slavic countries, and with his top tier strength and durability, I put him at first.
Middleweight: Colossus, Thing, Namor.
Lightweight: This is the biggest throw up of them all. It's not necissarly about X's fighting skill> Y's fighting skill, it's more about X's BOXING skill>Y's boxing skill. That being said, I think Cap, Spiderman (for obvious reasons), Luke (for obvious reasons), and Wolverine stand the best chances in this department. Spiderman, being arguably the strongest or one of the strongest here, mixed with pre-cog should put him on the top of the list, but the fact that he wont be able to flip all around and fight all 'capoeira' style like he normally does brings him out of 1st place. Judging by how Cap is drawn fighting in recent books suggests he's had a lot of striking/boxing style training, and puts him legues above in this competition. Luke doesn't need to jump all around to kick ass though, and I think he'll pull #1 in this department for his obvious advantages.
Lightweight: Luke, Spiderman, Captain America
