Rethinking the PT - Alliance Speaks

So, many of us have our likes and dislikes of the PT. I certainly have mine. So, I decided to correct my issues with the PT by rethinking it.

In this thread, as I go through, I will post my revisions of the events of the PT. Ranging from characters to locations, dialogue to philosophy, concept to morality, I hope to present something that will be in my opinion and in yours, a better PT than waht Lucas did (except mine is obviously not going to be in film form as I'm not filthy rich and don't have access to those type of resources).

hmm....

hmm....?

Star Wars: Revenge of Alliance

uh..you do realize that clones cant be in every scene though, right? J/k...suonds good...cant wait....

Yes, I do realize that 🙂

Thanks.

*sits down, opens can of coke, gets popcorn on lap and waits for the green Alliance Films Ltd. logo to appear*

😂 ok, I'll start with something.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away...

ROTFLMAO! I was gonna say that damnit! 😂

OK go ahead Alliance, lets have it. 🙂

yep, i'm all ears 🙂 ... or is that it already? 😛

lol. just buy/download that "movies" game thingy and do a film of your liking with it. Quality will be stunning only challenged by the quality of your voice acting.

Ok. Like all Star Wars, this is a trilogy. There are three parts. and I think Lucas has the timing down pretty well.

The first part (equivelant to TPM) is set on Iridonia. This takes place over about a year and is set 14-13 years before the Battle of Geonosis. As this is CLone Wars/Prequel territory, I will use the BBG timescale, as opposed to Yavin. The principle of this story is to show the failings of the Republic (as TPM did) and to lauch our hero on hsi journey. As I'm devising these in order, this plot is the most developed.

The Second part takes place just before and after the Battle of Geonosis. Mostly set on Coruscant, the workings of the Jedi Order are shown here. The failings of the Jedi Order and the nature of the Clone Wars are the subject here. With sporadic ins and outs, this plot takes places from 13 BBG to 1 ABG. Its not a continuous plot.

The Third part takes place on a planet (of my own design) named Cortida. This is where the story ends, the Empire rises, and the Jedi Order falls. This plot develops from 2ABG to 3ABG, encompassing and slightly passing Order 66. (Very similarly to ROTS)

While I have the plot in mind, and the end, I flesh out the details as I go along. The middle section is least developed, and I'll try to drop hints along the way about the future direction the writing is going to take, but I will try not to use spoilers.

So, every story has its hero. The hero of this story is, yes, a classic Star Wars male. Oh wait....he's not that classic.

So, we'll start at the beginning. The protagonist....

Manek - Official Entry

Name: Manek (birth name unknown)
Age: 8 years
Biological Age: 17
Homeworld: Iridonia
Year of Birth: 20 BBG

Species: Zabrak
Gender: Male
Height: 5'10"
Hair Color: Unknown
Eye Color: Dark brown
Skin Color: Medium brown, green body tatoos (Iridonian tradition, especially among gladiators)
Profession: Professional Gladiator - Capitol Square Arena - Nirbhay School

Known Biography: Due to the despicable record keeping surrounding the Iridonian gladiators, little is known about Manek's early life. A likely orphan, he would have been removed by the IPF (Iridonaian Police Force) at a young age and sold into the Nirbhay School, one of the many Iridonian gladiator schools. There, from a young age, he was trained as a gladiator. To improve the young gladiators physical condition, most Iridonian schools treated their gladiators with a chemical cocktail that accelerated body development and maturation. Hence, by the time he was 8 years of age, Manek was biologically about 17 years of age.

A proficient Gladiator, Manek was one or the Nirbhay school’s many leaders (Mitul and Uttara among them) whose success in the arena led to the Nirbhay's school's acceptance into the prestigious Capitol Square Arena in the heart of Iridonia's capitol.

Unknown to the IPF (Iridonaian Police Force) Manek was the ringleader of the paramilitary wing of the ILF (Iridonian Liberation Front), a terrorist group whose uprisings continually sparked civil unrest, ultimately culminating in the Slave Rebellion (13 BBG). Most of the members of Manek’s army were gladiators. As mostly undocumented orphans, there was little the Iridonian government, under the temporary leadership of Governor-General Druj of the IPF, could do to identify the killed members of this terrorist organization. Since mortality rates for gladiators were high (due to physical disease, the physical stress of growth acceleration, and interschool gang rivalries), killed members of the ILF military forces were not missed.

It appears as though the military wing of the ILF worked independently of the political movement struggling to bring equality to the lower classes of Iridonian society. No connection has been made between Manek and the political front. However, their work appears to be so seamless and complementary, there must have been some connection.

A combat expert, Manek was regarded as one of Iridonia’s finest gladiators, prior to his disgrace when society learned of his involvement in the ILF. Among his most famous battles, Manek defeated an armed Jedi warrior in the arena. A strong, intelligent, and charismatic boy, he is still regarded as a hero in Iridonia’s lower classes. He is often known for wearing a partial mask, even outside of the arena. It seems to be purely a principle of personal preference.

Manek’s unique combination of philosophical intelligence and physical strength, led Jedi Master Adham to hypothesize that this boy was unusually strong in the force. At this time, records cannot confirm if Master Adham’s assumption was correct.

One of the first images of Manek:

It should be noted that while Manek was never seen to use lightsabers in the Arena, he did use them during the Slave Rebellion. The Jedi order is certain that no Jedi had any contact with Manek and that he recieve no formal Jedi training. However, Manek was seen to be proficient at lightsaber fighting (no doubt an extension of his skills in the arena). He used dual green lightsabers, each with the same hilt. It is unknown where Manek aquired these weapons and how he learned to use them.

This sounds like a Fanfic. 13 😐

Spoiler:
No.

What are you doing in here anyway.

Spoiler:
Stalker

It does indeed sound like a fanfic, since I don't know how the audience is going to connec with this Manek character. ermm

It does sound like fanfic, I agree. That was never part of our agreement, Alliance. It would be RETHINKING the PT, but you can only use the PT characters, therefore a reworking of the PT as we know it. You therefore cannot bring in new lead characters. SW is about the Tragedy of Darth Vader, you have to hold on to that. If you bring in new lead characters, it's automatically EU and I will move it.

Then that explains my confusion on various levels. Poor communication.

Move it.

I will
