I think JJ Abrams would make a good Supes movie.
Maybe. But he's got the Star Trek franchise to run now.
Last time we saw a director leave a successful franchise to re-start another one at a rival company, was when Bryan Singer left the X-Men films to take on Superman. Results were mixed.
Some good news finally!!!
David Goyer to Write the New Superman Movie!
Source:Latino Review
February 24, 2010
Latino Review has broken the news that David Goyer will write the new Superman movie, to be titled The Man of Steel!
The site's scooper said that Goyer "had an idea that actually takes the movies back to the John Byrne incarnation. Modern. Believable. FUN!"
The site adds that Brandon Routh will not star in the film and Bryan Singer is not expected to direct.
About the story, the scooper adds: "I can tell you that Goyer's story involves Luthor and Brainiac. It is NOT an origin and assumes audiences already know about Lois, Clark, Jimmy and Perry. I know the Daily Planet is struggling due to the internet. And I know it sets up a huge Kryptonian mythology."

Does anybody else wish that they would make a decent Superman video game for once? Where you can actually fight villains able to, y'know, fight back?
I remember playing the Superman game for PS2 a year or two ago. It felt retarded. I had no health, I showed no strength, and my opponent only fought the city. 😠

Idea for a video game: Superman: Warworld.
My idea is you play as Superman who gets discovered drifting through space (like the episode from Justice League) and you can't remember who you are. You're forced by Mongul to fight a series of monsters and well known villains/enslaved heroes while you regain your memories and knowledge of your powers. At the end you fight Mongul and his 'pet' Doomsday.
