Will Superman Get Unleashed?
Source:/Film February 20, 2009

/Film snuck into Legendary Pictures' password protected company site, which lists Superman Unleashed as one of the company's upcoming films in development. Legendary Pictures was one of the companies responsible for bringing director Bryan Singer and Warner Bros. Pictures' Superman Returns to theaters in 2006.

The site says the listing includes the following synopsis:

"Ramping up the action of its esteemed predecessor, the sequel to 'Superman Returns' promises to raise the stakes and take the audience to heights of action that no other superhero movie can achieve."

So will Brandon Routh return as Clark Kent/Superman? Only time will tell...

to me, that looks like it could be old news that they hadn't deleted from the site rather than being a new piece of information...

Last rumour I heard was...

- They were going for the full reboot
- Brandon Routh would be back (and he should)
- Warner Bros. was turning this over to the Wachowski Brothers

Anyone else think this is the right option?

agree on routh, but the wachowski's, i will hold out on them if they actually do this and i see it

i heard that they might be having Doomsday as a bad guy in this one...

that would be an egregious mistake..

Brainiac should should be in this one and then have Doomsday in the next

I would have to agree, Doomsday would be too soon if they had him in this film. Maybe make a few more before they brought Doomsday in, and they could bring the death of superman into the story...

I'd love them to write Bizarro into a film. Not that shitty Evil-Superman they had in the Christopher Reed films (not saying Christopher Reed was a bad actor, im saying whoever wrote the script gave him a shit role as Evil-Superman).

Just pleaseeeeee NO MORE LEX!!!! or have him as a supporting character. And yes Doomsday is too soon.

i think they should have someone like Parasite or Metallo in this one. Have Lex in it, but not as the main villain. Also find a way to introduce Darkseid, but in a very small capacity...

Metallo would be awesome...and Darkseid would be great...

All they need for this film is some who can give Superman a real fight. Even if the film it's self is crap people will go see it for the action alone. I don't think we have ever had two world breaking super powered beings fight in any film, it could be incredible.

yeah they'd make good villains for this and then have Darkseid as a stand alone villain for the sequel

yup, exactly my thinking too...

i highly doubt they'd do Darkseid justice in the films

if he is acted properly, hopefully the right actor and definitely a good story then Darkseid will be just fine

i'm pretty sure the're gonna need two actors, one for the body and another for the voice.

He needs really powerful and dark voice

Michael Clark Duncan could do the voice...maybe not the body, body could be CGI? but yeah

Yeah, Darkseid would need to be something special, but i don't see him as being an more difficult than someone like Doomsday. The trick, imo, is doing Apokolips right. Now THAT would be a challenge. Not impossible, though.

i hope routh is back

They need to start again with Superman.

The idea of continuing the Christopher Reeve/Routh movies is a bad idea. They're too goofy and silly.
