i think we always knew that it was going to be rushed...

Because Warners & DC have been dithering behind the scenes for four years now, unable to decide what they want. Now that's it's crunch time they're rushing ahead.

pretty much, though it's more WB than DC...

Of course this was going to get rushed because of WB and DC dont want to lose their rights or else they would have been sitting on this for years.

According to IGN the rumor is the villian will be Zod. I hope it's fake. Granted it is from IGN and we know how relibale they are... 🙄

Meh been there and done that.

I wouldn't mind Zod as long as it was done well.

no, i hope the villain is either braniac or darkseid

I hope its Brainiac, maybe have Zod and Lex in it but not big roles. What I don't want it Superman walking around wondering if he really wants to be 'Superman' like they was thinking about, hope this works out.

I'd just be glad if it wasn't Goyer's original John Byrne-esque script...

If it is a full-on reboot, who cares if it's Zod and he's been done? This is new, and he gets to appear in a new form. I'd like it if they showed him how's he's been in the past few years - less about being a criminal, more about being a ruthless General.

Singers SR was a reboot, they used Lex and look how well that did. Movie Lex wasnt done properly the first two times. The only good verions are animated and Smallville.

The Superman movie franchise is being rebooted in 2012 and casting is already underway for the lead roles of Superman and his mild-mannered alter ego, Clark Kent.

According to a few entertainment industry publications, both John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson are being considered for the lead role in Superman: Man Of Steel.

IMDB.com reports that the film is being executive produced by Christopher Nolan (”The Dark Knight”) and will be directed by Zach Snyder.

Aside from John Cena and The Rock, actor Joe Manganiello (”Spider Man 3,” “True Blood”) is also being considered for the part.

Rock is better off as BA if any.

Cena, **** NO! he should not be acting at all. Cena doesnt even look like Supes.

But I dont have much faith in this.

I really can't see Nolan agreeing to having Cena as Superman, tbh.

I've heard people talk about the Spidey guy before, and I don't think he'd be that bad...

Yeah with Nolan being part of this I don't see Cena or The rock playing the role for supes, neither has the look or acting skills of any kind.

Like Superman needs a great actor..... 🙄
