Superman: Man of Steel

I heard the other day on EP daily that Kevin Bloody Costner has just been cast as Johnathan Kent!!! Now I'm really worried, that had better be a very small role. I hate Costner and i think it will suck with him in it.

Costner on his day is a fine actor imo. I could see him really fitting that role.

I posted something about Kevin Costner on the last page but it seemed no one paid attention more worried about which villains should be in the film.

While I don't think it would be realized on film, I think I would personally love a film trilogy (or more) building up to the New Gods and Darkseid. I think it would be the perfect vehicle to have Superman go beyond Earth and fight in some pretty epic battles.

Yes but she'll be married to Kevin Costner, so i predict she will be killing herself part way through the movie.

Does any casting matter, since the whole movie seems to depend on Zack Snyder having to do something so different from anything he's done before (so much so, you wonder why they hired him.) No R-rated gorefests allowed this time, and he has to shoot on real locations again. The will be the ultimate question until this film hits theatres.

i wanna see this brit in the suit first.. apparently he donned the christopher reeve costume for the screen test.. i wanna see that screen test..

There are so many other actors that could play that role!

Dont need Zod, Costner will do fine as Kent.

IMO he is a bad actor and not suited for the role of Johnathan Kent.

I'm actually cautiously optimistic about Snyder, myself...
