Up until I saw that trailer, I was cautiously optimistic. Nolan would provide the substance, but I always worried that he and Goyer might weaken Superman too much. I believed Snyder would handle all of that fantastical action stuff solidly.

After seeing that trailer, I've moved from optimistic to actually excited.

I'm feeling this Superman will be weaker than Routh's, which I thought was a pretty good version (nevermind the actual movie).

Routh's was very like Reeve's, tbh, so I wouldn't mind toning him down a little.

What did make me worry a little less about him being weakened was that at one point in the trailer Jor-El literally says humans won't be able to kill him, and that he'll be a god to them.

Oh, just watched it again. That's interesting.

I've said it before: If he's JLU level or above, I'll be stoked.

I couldn't make the scene where he flies through Zod i think it is, he seems to have made himself intangible. It's at 2:18. Thoughts? The final scene where he's pummeling zod in mid air reminded me of when he let loose against darkseid in JL animated series.

Amy Adams is friggen hot. Definitely top 2 in Hollywood now.

I think the blasts just missed, rather than anything being intangible.
