So far, MOS has an 8.4 on IMDB. It will go down of course, but the GA has spoken.

lolSpoiler:
Yeah the LexCorp logo was all over the place in the film. Also there apparently was a Booster Gold reference somewhere in the film. Not sure where though.
I saw Man of Steel on Friday, predicted it would be the best Superman movie meaning of all the ones on the Big Screen, and I'm convinced of it after seeing Man of Steel. It is a terrific movie.
Superman is shown as a flawed relatable character, there is a teaser for a future super villain in the movie before the ending, topnotch action as violent as Superman fighting Doomsday yep no holding back which creates vast property damage also a high risk of people getting hurt or killed making it realistic since these individuals with incredible strength fighting that can easily break steel, Superman's speed looks like he could be moving as Fast as Speed of Light, Superman and other Kryptonians show off their incredible speed including during fights.
Superman shows off why he is Superman including holding up a falling parts of some buidling out in the water, outstanding visual depection of Krypton looks real, you see Clark both as a kid plus as a adult and get a idea of where his morals, Krypton techonology is incredible Jor EL dies but there is a tool that shows Jor El's conciousness that resembles a Hologram so he's able to still give information.
Zod, Superman, Lois Lane, Jor EL, Perry White, Faora, etc no body was miscast all terrific acting.
Zod is the wretchedest Super Villain DC Comics Big Screen Movie History. He was using a gravity weapon to alter the atmosphere so that it would be the same as on Krypton, since things go up then fastly come down this would kill all human beings so Genocide of Human Beings, a threat to the entire Earth, also would kill all animals so genocide to all animals.
So once again this proves you can reuse a Super Villain, it won't be a repeat of the how they were depicted in a previous movie, and the story won't be a repeat of the movie they were in before.
The motive for Zod is made clear nothing between the lines just a straight foward all his actions no matter how violent or cruel he says for the Greater Good of his people the Kryptonians which makes all the more terrorfying.
This is Like the Nolan Batman movies highly serious, and the stakes are high, there are funny or light moments in this movie like The Avengers but not done so many times.
Also you'll see Clark Kent putting on his glasses, introducing himself to Lois Lane and others since he gets a job at The Daily Planet.
Multiple cool lines in this movie.
This Lois Lane not only can she write stories as a reporter and can fight when needed including the Female Kryptonian that serves General Zod Faora. Humans prove they can be as valiant as Superman incuding both Superman's biological dad and second dad , multiple moral lessons including Clark saving a bully that recently antagonized him from drowning, Clark pushed down by other guys talked to by his dad doesn't fight but wanted proving to be human like us, the same bully that Clark saved shows the same compassion by holding out his hand to pull him up.
I watched in 2D because 3D is not working, even though, the special effects and the fighting scenes are the best I've ever seen, even compare to the Avengers. Especially the freaking amazing Krypton plots in the beginning.
The movie learned from a few previous failure of superhero movies, it didn't spend too much time on the past of Clark, just used a few flashbacks to tell us the key events of his childhood and youth, thus saved the time for actions and effects. The hand to hand combat between Superman and Zod/Faora, along with the machines are very very cool and it filled over 1/3 of the movie.
I have to say Shannon did a good job on Zod while I still think his appearance doesn't fit Zod that well. In the story he wasn't really an antagonist. Just like we humans, he put his own species over others, even would annihilate others for his own to live. The other casts are also fine, Henry is a good Superman and he does not need to disguise himself, Amy is ok as Lois. Jor-El is badass, the Kent couple also fit well. Antje Traue's performance on Faora is fine while she is still too short so the fighting scenes are a bit weird. As a villain, Sarah's Ursa is clearly better.
Of course there are flaws of the movie, the main conflict that the Kent and El family worried about, is that Superman would not be trusted by the humans, I think it still got resolved a bit too easy while it's reasonable, but there should still be many people fear and distrust him but it's not shown. The romance between Superman and Lois is too rushed, they never met each other before Superman healed her. The music is not as good as John Williams'.
The biggest problem, is Superman only hesitated for a moment to destroy his father's ship, which annihilated those infants to reborn again and totally ended his own species' possibility of survival, and never regret it much later. That's not the Superman I know and should behave base on how much he wants to protect the humans, the Superman I know and understand would treat his own people equal and not to destroy them.
I will give 10 to the action scene and effects, 8 on the cast and 7 on the plot.
"Notably, the 3D movie -- starring British actor Henry Cavill -- grossed $5.2 million in the U.K., pacing ahead of blockbuster Iron Man 3 to score the best opening day of 2013 so far. Man of Steel captured 70 percent of the market and performed on par with last year's superhero extravaganza The Avengers."

the crystals are gone.. everything looked organic but high tech.. everything on krypton looked alien, like its supposed to be.. the suits have history.. you see them being worn by every kryptonian.. superman just didn't make the suit out of nothing, it was part of his kryptonian heritage.. the way superman jumped at first before actually flying.. if there ever an homage to the comics, that was it and it was perfect and fun.. i loved how lois knows.. i love how it ended.. i loved how there was a sonic boom when superman snapped the shit ot of zod's neck..
