No kidding.

And on an unrelated note:

Did you hear about Greg Oden getting 8 million dollars this year for doing nothing?!

If he wasn't so rich, I might feel bad for him. You give me 8 million for signing my name and you can break both my legs.

It's hilarious.

The guy played in high school, played ONE year of college ball, and has never stepped foot onto an NBA court and they're giving him 8 million to sit out for the whole season. 😆

Indeed. Oden is probably the best center to come in out in a while. I don't think he's the next Shaq as many are hoping but he'll still be pretty good.

There's an article in the Star about it today, which basically slammed Oden for it.

For what? A freak injury?

Uhh, no. That's not what's happening in that scan, Seid wasn't trying to kill Supes nor was he using the full power of the Oe. Yet he had him at his mercy....yeah like that's in Superman's favor.

Did you not actually read the scan? DS says "What are you doing? No one has ever fought my Omega Beams. Not even Orion." and Supes responds with "Maybe no one...ever...believed...they could fight them." and then Highfather talks Supes out of fighting anymore. That means that Supes WAS resisting, and was doing well enough at it that it tripped DS out. Owning implies utter dominance over your opponent, which means that DS in no way "owned" Supes there because Supes was successfully resisting. What WOULD have ended up happened had Highfather not talked Supes down is ultimately inconclusive.

And you know this how? Pc Superman was far more powerful than post-crisis, and there's no point in questioning it.

I know what how? That Supes was written down in the JL? I know that because he never preformed at the same level as in his solo books at the time(just like pretty much EVERYONE on a team).

Superman charges at him and then he gets stopped with the omegas.

And breaks out of what stopped him. That means that he was hardly "owned".

The teleportion beams and the omega effect are basically the samething. The Oe works by teleporting you into oblivion.

Proof that DS can erase everyone he can teleport? As I've already pointed out, Thor can teleport the Destroyer no problem, actually delivering a beatdown on it is another matter entirely...

Teleporting is with in his powerset. If he can get rid of Supes that easily, then their really shouldn't be much of a fight between the two.

But that's not really "owning" now is it? If you want to contend that DS can teleport Supes away I won't argue, but what I'm asking for are instances of DS actually BEATING Supes.

What are you talking about? Superman didn't do anything. He couldn't handle Henshaw and Ds took him out with one blast. The reason I showed that scan, was I trying to show the power gap between Superman and Seid.

So having transmutation means that you're automatically more powerful than Supes? Because I'm pretty sure that's what happened there, DS just transmuted Henshaw into some kind of sphere or something like that. If transmutation is your proof, then you must consider Sersi, Firestorm, Surfer, GL, and everyone else with the power to be Supes's superior too huh?

Here's the quote:

"After reading the story on former Lawrence North High School star Greg Oden missing the upcoming NBA season, I have got to say, only in America. Oden, 20, has never stepped foot on an NBA court, has never made one play in his chose profession, plays one year of college ball and has $8 million in the bank. That's a helluva payday for hitting the genetic lottery.

How can you not love a system that rewards you based on assumptions, guesses, possibilities and maybes with $8 million before you've ever actually done anything? What's hysterical is, the only thing guaranteed in this whole situation is his bank account.

Who cares if he never makes an impact in the NBA? He's laughing all the way to the bank, in his size 20 sneakers."

So he wasn't exactly bashing Oden.

I wonder what he thinks of NFL rookie salaries. I believe JaMarcus Russel is making more money than Tom Brady. 😂

Yeah. At least with the NBA, if a top rookie turns out to be a dud, the money factor won't cripple you for years. 8 million is negligible. 60 million? ermm

With their schedule, I wouldn't be surprised if they were 0-8.

REALLY embarrassing.

0-8 is looking certain. They might make it a game against Purdue. It's about all they can hope for.

lol @ having to play USC this year
