no i was talking about Beckett... but DJ wasn't in the script.... hmmmmm anyway back to the topic I found a quote from terry about Will not being boring and confirming he Firstly trying to save his father...
Just to clarify, no, Will is not designed to be boring. In CotB he pirates a ship, breaks Jack Sparrow out of jail, takes an oar and clocks Jack in the back of the head and leaves him to die. Three times he's the only survivor of a shipwreck. He goes mano with Davy Jones and wins. He'll die for Elizabeth. He rescues Jack from the cannibals, and from the gallows, vows to travel to the next world to save Jack yet again, but his real agenda is to save his father.
Where do you see boring in there?

Well Will is still boring for me I don't care what TnT say 😄. I think that in AWE he will become an interesting character. A different character that no one would ever expected to be. I don't like this comment made by Terry:
He rescues Jack from the cannibalsI disagree with Terry on that one, Jack rescued himself from the cannibals, knowing that Liz was in danger of facing the gallows encouraged him to scape the cannibals. When Will told him that Liz was in danger when he has walking back, he stopped cold.
takes an oar and clocks Jack in the back of the head and leaves him to die. Three times he's the only survivor of a shipwreck. He goes mano with Davy Jones and wins. This proves that Will's character could be the next DJ. Which is very interesting. No I dont think he will be boring in AWE. But he is still boring to me.
The piracy coming to an end is a fact, Pirates weren't good people back in the days. They were evil and mean and did a lot of bad things. Jack never wanted to become a pirate, he was technically dragged to it. He worked for the EITC before becoming a pirate. He was an honest sailor, a good man, and with a job. He transported slaves, that was his job in the EITC. Slavery was common at that time, everyone approved it. But IMO Jack never saw it as a good thing. That was why he revealed against the company, and their government and became a pirate. He saw slavery as an injustice, which it is now days. He became a rebel, he though he was doing the right, which he was. But in that time everyone saw it as a bad thing.

Yes he used to transport slaves, he freed them. That was how he revealed himself against the EITC, so he was branded a pirate. He didn't became one, he had no choice. I think that is where his perspective of freedom comes from. IMO he though that all man deserved to be free without any constraints. He was like a Martin Luther King of that time LOL. That is why I like this character so much.
