I think I read somewhere that he does in fact have more of a role in Awe than what he was originally given, and it isn't his death. The same was said with Norrington. So we'll see. I really liked his character, so I hope he has a more fleshed out part than what he originally had.

Sorry for all the posts in succession, I'm playing catch up!

Im very excited. We need more investigations. Keep a good look out 🙂

I cant wait to see DJ and his crew under the command of MORTALS that'll be a funny sight!

I know!! Its hillarious on how davye was the terror of the seven seas, now its beckett!

And not only that but Beckett is like tiny and DJ is like humongous....so that will literally be funny to watch!!

yay we might get our trailer before the end of the year!!

so a few questions...

let's think back to the inn at Tortuga, which is the only place Jack ever comes in contact with the strumpets. its called The Faithful Bride, which i find hilarious, but i also think that has some deeper meaning to it. The bride in the story has to be Elizabeth. But Elizabeth's broken off one relationship and screwed up her other one.

and they make a mockery of the name by having loads of strumpets or "brides" for sale in front,

thats where Elizabeth runs into Jack the 1st time in movie 2.

anyone have any thoughts?

It is said in movies , "WATER" of any type is symbolism of a "new" life or new beginning. Water is a big symbol in the potc saga. When elizabeth is talking to norrington and falls into the water then jack saves her was symbolism also in the beginning of dmc what was happening that ruined lizzies wedding , rain interfered , As soon as she hit that water she had begun "a new life" For example another movie where water is used as symbolism for "a new life" is in "romeo + juliet" In this modern version of the original , both lovers each have a scene where they are sticking thier head into water , also the first time the lovers meet is when both are looking though a fish tank and catch a glimpse of the other person But the most dramatic and symbolic change was the "balcony scene" which in the modern version took place in a pool of water.
Water is associated with being in the womb, baptism, and an unknown world waiting to be discovered similar to outer space. Water is a symbol of life, cleansing, and rebirth. It is a strong life force, and is often depicted as a living, reasoning force.

Interesting Pirates=Sex. And you know what is really interesting that Jack and Liz both met while they were in the water. 😄 .Therefore, on the other hand Will was pulled out from the water and that was when he met Liz. All of what you have just said applies to the Jack and Liz characters. Their whole life changed when they first met. AHHHH. Thanks for bringing this up. 😄

Is it really called the faithful bride? wow Yes it makes total sense. They are using that name as a some sort of mock or perhaps a double meaning. And yes that's where Jack first meets Liz in DMC. 😄 and Liz haven't been faithful so far. I wouldn't have realized that if you didn't have pointed it out.

if you look during the ride at the parks the bar is also called The Faithful Bride... dont know if that is even very significant or not..

I have never noticed that, is that in the new or the old ride?

haha we had a thread called the Faithful Bride way back in July or something, lots of good info if someone wants to dig it up.

Im gonna have a cheesy moment
