In a H2H match? Really?

So in a match where the main qualifier is skills, and you admit the opponent is better, not to mention both being close strengthwise and here at equal speeds, you still give the HUGE nod to the guy with less skills?

Your just thinking of Kurse. Or who knows pre crisis Karate Kid.

I don't think I'm alone either in my views.

As two recent SHC threads showed, neither am i.

For Herk to get only 4 out of 10 in a skills match where he has the skill advantage, Supes would have to be in a totally upper class, physically speaking.

And as strength goes, he isent. No matter who you think its sligthy stronger.

Just curious but what's your screen name at SHC? I remember that thread with the Superman/Thor/Herc. strength debate. Pretty much most people agreed Hercs. feats were hyperbole.

To be honest, it's a general consensus that Superman is stronger. Now, some would argue that general consensus is correct, and to that I say this. Was the general consensus right on the world being flat? Hell, don't make me quote the line from Men in Black.

Very true. I'd put the knowledge of the guys there over the guys here.

Riddle me this: What's the general consensus on the shape of the earth now?

I dont post there. I lurk and know a few posters tho, but pll like Jellyrobes are a test to my patience.

The ONE feat (not feats) that was *discussed* as hyperbolic by some was the helding the Earth one. I already said in a thread i made here that, that one is up to debate. Some dont consider it. I do.

I find something hyperbolic when the character never did something similiar ever. The problem is, he has ridiculous similiar feats: The earth armwrestling one and shutting down dimensional doors with strength. So there is a precedence for it.

Not only that, the labours are canon. The reason behind them are canon. It was stated outside its own words as well. There was no labour worth more of screen time than the other in the infamious page. Nada.

You consider it hyperbole? I dont share the same opinion and belive my defense isent far off. For the record i view SM and Herk damn close that in a day to day basis one wont show up with a huge edge over the other.

What exactly is a pll?

You believe that an alien that is godlike on our planet, can contain A DAMN BLACKHOLE/ AN EVENT HORIZON THAT HAS BEEN PUBLISHED AS SAYING THAT NOTHING CAN ESCAPE IT? This is the level of stupidity that had me stop reading Superman

🙄 What and you believe a guy in a purple suit that eats planets and wears a skirt is feasible?, this is comics we cant place real life scenarios on them, besides the term ALIEN has to be taken on board and the fact its a comic book.

Where the hell did this come from? The point of my statement is that the general consensus is not always knowledgable enough. Now, when proven wrong, then the general consensus finds something else to be incorrect about.

No, you said they were hyperbole, and so did the Superman fans. I'm assuming you're taking Jellyrobes' statements as fact, when he's a complete and total tool?

Opinions are based on available evidence. Argumentum ad populum is logical fallacy. But then simply saying the majority can be wrong is not an argument in itself either.

Incoherent.

Incoherent.

No, I'm saying the majority on more than one occasion in the past has been a group of complete and total imbeciles who have no idea what they're talking about.

Also, it's only incoherent in your eyes because you disagree, and have no reason to say otherwise, because anyone can see that a lot of people know absolutely nothing about anything. Go walk the streets of New York and ask who came first: Justice League or the Fantastic Four. They'll say Fantastic Four, when in reality it was Justice League.

Sorry, but your sorry attempt at saying that most people know what they're talking about isn't working.

I'm just gonna quote it, and that's the end.

A person is smart. People are dumb. Everything they've ever "known" has been proven to be wrong. A thousand years ago everybody knew as a fact, that the earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, they knew it was flat. Fifteen minutes ago, you knew we humans were alone on it. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

That's nice. Yet irrelevant.

No it's actually an incoherent statement, unless you actually mean the general consensus is always wrong. Which is both generalisation and fallacy.

Am I supposed to care what some random person on the streets of New York in your hypothetical anecdotal non-point?

Sorry but your attempt to say that people are wrong solely because they're in agreement against what you would prefer isn't working.

Just for kicks, since i scretch the truth.

And: Depowered mortal Hercules against post Onslaugth Hulk.

I find it weird that a guy whos done things like this among others isent close at all physically with SM so that he would lose the majority, even when according to one poster he has the skill edge. In a hand to hand match no less.

Gah, anyway I'm taking Hercules for the win when it comes to grabbing and beating up other big sweaty men h2h or course!

Just because the opponent is big and sweaty!

General Consensus is a proven group of morons. Get over yourself and read what I'm saying instead of dismissing it like a crooked attourney.

There's a few chick pics in there.
