USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006 SECOND ASSIGNMENT- 'The Monastery'

Heh, not a bad idea, just go straight through the walls...

Yea I just remembered I once was in a very tough spot in the SW (lightside, running away from Balek and mines and all that shit and then that was the solution)

Going through the walls does sound fun. Is it possible, Ush?

That kind of thing is not easy. It would need a tap of a relevant offensive power.

It also doesn't quite get to the heart of your strategic issue.

It could allow us to ignore the agent blocking the door. But you are right when saying that we have other things to worry about first.

Guys in the N/S corridor - go North. Go out that way.

Balcony's not getting us anywhere. Time to turn around I think, guys.

Anyway, San will tap IB on the Agent, and then swap it for VG.

(really, this is going to go a lot better if we split up some. Grouping together is harming us a lot more than helping.)

Isn't the corridor group trapped between two agents at the moment?

Well, it's get past them or be stuck in the balcony room!

edit

Wouldn't be able to get more than a couple people through it, if that, most likely.

Plus people in the N/S corridor trying to enter the balcony will block us in. Which would be very bad.

Melkor will join Marduk at step 2, focusing on avoiding enemy gunfire. I will tap Defensive Master if possible.

I still don't see what we will have gained by all leaving the room again.

We won't be trapped in here if I don't manage to get the Agent out of the doorway, that's what. We'll have extended our lifespan by a small amount 😛

DM doesn't tap in a defensively useful manner I am afraid.

Why don't we just go over the balcony itself?

Ok enough bitching around. I guess I'll be heading back into the corridor. Can I still move after I do that, or does that finish my movement for that turn?

**** it, I'm with Fire. Azrael backpedals into the corridor. If he can still move after that he'll head back down toward the four-door room.

People in the corridor - don't go into the balcony room. Pick another direction. Especially since going into the room would end up with more crowding in the doorways.

ofc I'll follow Azrael to the 4 door room.

If someone from the cover group could shoot at this agent I'd really appriciate it. I'll try and move past the agent by any way I can...other than him picking me up and throwing me...

Okay, so here's the plan (if you can call it that) for people inside.

People in the N/S Corridor - Either head North and out that door to the west, or backpedal back to the 4-door room and through the other corridor to the west - remember we don't know where that leads as we haven't tried it yet. Any of you that try and come through to the balcony will get your asses kicked, likely not only by me but also Fire and Azreal who will be trying to get back OUT this turn. Whichever way you decide, get the **** away from the door leading to the balcony, you're trapping us in!

People in the balcony room - turn around and get the hell out. Even if I DO get this Agent out of the doorway, only a couple people will get through. This would have worked a lot better if EVERYONE HADN'T GONE ONTO THE BALCONY. Back to the N/S corridor, and from there either to the north-west door or to the 4-door room and out the other corridor.

And for ****'s sake, don't bunch around doors anymore. Try and split up as you can, though don't entirely seperate so everyone's alone - try and stick in groups of 2 or 3.

As the steps are to the south, I'm guessing the monastery probably has more rooms to the north - if we head more to a northern direction, we can probably seperate more, lead off the bad guys and force THEM to split, and doing so will give all of us a better chance at escape. Might also lead to some of us getting trapped in a dead-end...but right now it's between certain death (what's going to happen soon if we keep doing what we've been doing), or a chance of getting the hell out alive.
