Your analysis of who goes to heaven includes only Christians

"For to this end we labor and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of them that believe."
I Timothy 4:10

" This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
Who desires all men to be saved
and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
I Timothy 2:3-4

* not only Christians will go to heaven... 😉

Very nice peejayed I take it back.

However, I would like to point out that both of those quotes also make it sound like the Christians get in easier or at least have better time when they're there.

So then non-Christians go to heaven? Are we in another room? I know we are outside doing landscaping.

* that's because i'm not like mr.JIA? and others like him... and the Bible says that blatantly, i'm just surprised they did not brought this verses up... 😉

Thats because its all abou t whcih versus you choose to emphasize and how you interpret them.

The only think blatant about the Bible is that its ambiguous.

The Bible is certainly ambiguous, and everyone's intepretation differs.

* of course, we are more important (not valid) than any book... but i'm not talking about YOU perse... what i said was YOUR opinion... the question is about Christians and the Bible is more VALID (ahem, not important) than YOUR opinion, simply because you are a Buddhist...

* so i will expect you NOT to comment anything when i post something childish...

1. The fact I am a Buddhist has nothing to do with valid. I really don't get this point of yours about "Valid", but I really don't care one way or the other. *shrugs shoulders*

2. If what you say is fun, then go for it. You can post pictures of Buddha all day long, and tease me, as long as the intent is fun.

Shakyamunison is a Voodoo follower. He told me so.

* you're an anti-peejayd or somethin'? 😕

* you missed my point... i'll set mr.JIA as an example, we both use the Bible, but he judged people here on the forum, who goes to hell and who goes to heaven... whilst that notion of mr.JIA's is clearly unbiblical in the first place, provided the verses i gave earlier... 😉

* you missed it again, my friend... and what you really don't get was, the Bible is more valid than any opinion of yours if the question is about Christians because you are a Buddhist... simple as that... you've just missed the point, don't care, shrugs your shoulders... i'd better shrug my shoulders too...

* sure thing... but i'm not you... teasing is fun, you're a very happy Buddhist, i may say... 😉

umm . . . so even if he quotes from the bible and interperts it he's automatically wrong. That doesn't make much sense.

* that's another thing, my friend... what i said was HIS opinion... and not HIS interpretation from a Bible quote... 😉

😆 Your point is silly. If someone was asking a bible question to a Christian, the bible would be more valid then his opinion. But if you were asking a Nichiren Buddhist, a bible question, the Lotus sutra would be more valid then the Buddhist's opinion.

However, why would someone ask a Nichiren Buddhist a bible question? 😆

That is true, but I am pretty sure Mr. JIA can provide us with plentiful Bible quotes to prove you wrong somehow. 😉

Because he was asked. There are many Buddhist who have read the bible. Some of our member are also Christians. You can be Buddhist and Christian at the same time.

* i may consider that if the person is practicing Buddhism as a philosophy... but you, my friend, are practicing Buddhism as a religion... 😉
