I would consider anyone who wishes to be Christian, to be Christian, however, the should fallow the teachings of Jesus.
* Christians are those people who follow the teachings of Jesus, not any person who just wishes to be one...
"Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 7:21

."
Matthew 7:21 [/B]
This verse does not identify who is a Christian. It identifies who will go to heaven.

Someone asked my opinion... I don't consider what the bible says as anything valid, when it comes to my opinion. 😉

"Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 7:21
* the latter part says "he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven"...
"Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples;"
John 8:31
* doing the will of God is tantamount of abiding the words of Jesus... if a person abides the words of Jesus, that person is truly Jesus' disciple...
"And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they were gathered together with the church, and taught much people, and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch."
Acts 11:26
* the disciples are Christians...

* the Bible is more valid than your opinion because the question is about Christians... and you are a Buddhist...

Well, the religious and intellectual communities define what Chistianity is...not peejayd.
* if we consider that true Christians are those people who were stated in the Bible, then not me, not even the religious and intellectual communities will define what or who a Christian really is... but the Bible itself...

The bible is just a book, and I am a living being. You and I are far more important then any book.
Be like the children. If you have no laughter in your heart, how can you have anything?

This changes the fact that the verse I quoted does not state who is a Christian how?
