You know what would make a cool final fight: Cap and Spidey vs Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic tag-team.

Pete's Spidey sense can be disturbed by trauma and depression and stuff like that, as far as I know of

Considering all that just happened to him, I'm sure he isn't going to be thinking clearly

But Peter's spider-sense has often operated on a subconscious level so his level of trauma doesn't usually impede his senses. Its his ability to dodge which is impeded. I don't think I've seen such a blantant disregard of powers in a while. Then again McNiven did have SPidey get clocked from Daredevil's billy club last ish so who knows. I liked the issue and even liked how they handled Spider-Man getting thrashed (even though I wish they had sent more and bigger named villians after him like Bullseye and Venom). Its only a minor nuance but it nags me nonetheless

Its a freakin' bomb that is litterly two inches away from him, he isn't going to dodge it either way

Do you have any idea how ridiculous a bomb
even getting 2 inches from Spiderman sounds?

😄 co-sign.

I dont agree with Maria Hill that Tony is better suited than her. At least she started at the bottom, working her way up. Tony being head of Shield is just beinng handed to him. Even U.S Agent is better suited and I dont even like the guy.

wait so who exactly was the employee? didn't catch the name...

So wait, a traumatized Spidey very injured and exausted running through the sewers can now dodge a bomb the size of a bottle cap?!?

Again, you're missing the point. It's the simple fact that it was able to get anywhere NEAR that close to him without his prior knowledge. That's what we're up-in-arms about.

Only if it's a ladder match. I'm not buying the pay-per-view, but I would pick up the dvd a month or two later.

exactly. ✅

a toy bomb that casually moved towards Spiderman...
...as he ran towards it....and not even a little spidey-tingle...?

🤨

does Matt Murdock get hit by a car cause he didn't hear it?
does Logan get burned in a housefire cause he didn't smell smoke?
does Clark Kent not know what color Lois' panties are?

Matt Murdock - no.

Logan - no.

Clark Kent - Probably... those Kryptonians are such perverts.

haha.... krazy kryptonians.

does Charles Xavier offer a penny for your thoughts?

If it's a penny for your thoughts but you have to put your two cents in...

Its not about dodging. Just recognition. Again I had no problem with it going boom, just that Spider-Man said "What the.." instead of "Oh ****!"

Millar talks Civil War #5, characterisations and general stuff...
http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/CivilWar/WarRoom/Millar_Part02.html

Thanks for the link Lucid. Millar is right, no matter how you write your characters someone is gonna cry out mis-characterization. I do think he is villifying Tony a bit though

A new issue of Iron Man came out on Wednesday too. It offers some valuable insight into Tony's motivations and what's going on.

Spoiler:
They're trying to blackmail him into taking the position as head of SHIELD.
