Which is why i'm neutral with the Registration act

I agree that heroes should be trained and organized, but being run by the government is somthing I don't agree with

If I'm not mistaken, Cable already said that if the act went ahead, it's going to speed along America's (or the world's, don't remember exactly) turn into a police-state.

Reason enough to be against it.

So the only option is to go underground and act like a terrorist?!?

Is Chuck Norris registered? Cause I'm thinking if he's anti-reg, then they win this final fight they're talking about...

"There never was a super-soldier serum. Only a blonde kid Chuck Norris breathed on."

Marvel should pick up on this one...

I said oppose it, not charge in and destroy civilian property and lives.

Every time I see the anti-regs getting into fights in civilian quarters it's because the pro-regs came after them (with the exception of when they tried to bust out hero prisoners being taken to jail). Either the heroes can turn themselves in, which isn't an option, or they can simply stop helping civilians when super villains threaten them, which also isn't an option.

Well only a sissy would run away to France 😛

I believe that normally you wouldn't, like if you are a recreational fighter you needn't register but if you're going to be a hero then you need to sign up.

I'm sure a good lawyer will argue that but I think its a matter of discretion. If this person did something bad and it can't be proven then they'll probably walk. If they were already wanted and you apprehended them then they'll probably keep them and try to arrest you also.

I know in Dr Strange's case Tony said the president was willing to work out some sort of deal with him.

Thanks

Didn't Thing go to France? Or was that just a running joke on the podcast?

I think the entire aspect of the act now going after anyone who wears a costume is just stupid

Should people who can blow up freakin' cities be registered? Yeah, but signing a piece of paper isn't going to make a difference, when S.H.E.I.L.D already has their file

Because its about accountability and responibilty, not just identities. So what if SHIELD has my file? I can just ditch my old costume and pick up a new identity and hence get away with any wrongdoing I've done in the past. All this without any sort of training so I'll probably be just as irresponsible as I was the last time. Signing a piece of paper is more than just...signing a piece of paper. Its a contract saying that I wanna be a superhero and that I want to be the best i am at what i do.

Which would be fine if it wasnt for corrupt politicians who would use them for their own selfish gain. Which is why I dont approve of the SRA. Super People should police themselves, open trainin school for those who wish to use their powers to help and apprehend those who use them for selfish ends and crime. The would be co-operating with law enforcemetn agencies, obey the same laws but wouldnt be subjected to politicians greed.

OOoh... Wolverine plug. GOOD ONE!

I agree. The whole concept of the registration act isn't about making them expose themselves and their identities, but have them be held accountable to somebody for what they do. However... I think if every superhero really wanted to fight back against this, I think the government would have a hard time bringing them down. Which is guy guys like Iron Man exist to fight for the government.

Not that I condone what he's been doing. Iron Man is still a jerk right now.

Anyway, I'm thinking that if I was a superhero for 50 years, I wouldn't register. I'm with Cap on this one. I just think that if they were going to do this seriously, they would have grandfathered it in. Ya know? "If you're a superhero under the age of 21, you need to be registered." That would help. Because, the real problem here is that we get teens in real life who shoot up a whole school because they weren't well liked, but in comic books, they could blow up a small island.

I wonder if that's how they'll end up fixing all this... saying, "Okay, we'll just grandfather it in then, Mr. Captain America."

Edit: You know... add an ammendment to the act.

I hate JMS 😐

As if Sins Past, The Other, and all the other stuff he has done isn't bad enough, he makes the Thing go totally out of character and go to france?!?!

If the Thing hadn't run off which side do you think he would have joined???? I'm inclined to say the anti-reg side but the writer may have made him join the pro-reg just to continue the feeling that the anti-regs are underdogs in this story ✅

He seemed to be a little upset about Johnny and Sue leaving... I think he may have went anti-reg with them.

Either way, Reed's really up poop creek without a paddle now that he's the Fantastice 1 1/2. (the 1/2 being the kids)

I don't know if I agree with the age thing though. You could have a man in his forties be just as irresponsible as a kid. Plus the New Warriors aren't exactly novices, they've been in the game a while. But just cause they've been around longer doesn't mean they know exactly what they're doing
