Civil War Report

My thoughts on Civil War 7.

Spoiler:
I felt satisfaction in Cap's pwning of Iron Man. I liked seeing Spider-Man being put over and letting loose. He showed great speed and agility. Reed: "Amazing". Spidey: "Spectacular". Herc owning Clor rocked. Namor's entranced was awesome. The thing with Cap's surrender and the ending left me saying WTF?

SPOILERS: (Too lazy to add the damn tags)

7. Beta Ray Bill's reasoning for being in Alpha Flight was that he wanted

Bill's human form is Simon Walters and he's Canadian, also Bill and Talisman have an unknown connection with each other. So we don't know why Bill has joined yet.

Civil war, I had such high hopes for, but it ended so horribly, Cap surrendered? He actually surrendered, he is one of my favorite comic characters and after seeing this, I believe the writers have ruined him.

And what about the inhumans and blackbolt?

What about Sentry?

The war just ends because Cap starts to cry and loses his sense of direction?

That *****

His human form has a connection with tailsman or Thor's bloodbrother has the connection?

Thor's bloodbrother has the connection, and the rumor is it was Talisman that saved Bill in Strombreaker. Unknown though.

No issues of Omega Flight have been released yet not till April, but Bill and the team make their offical introduction in Civil War: The Initiative.

Yeah...Sentry got punched by Hercules and Hulkling...and apparently it knocked him back 1 feet. Um...amazing feat!

Remember when the Avengers, Strange, Namor, SHIELD, and the X-Men were get handled by the void? So dumb...if you include Sentry in a book then you have to adress him now. Should of just left him neutral. And you definitely have to adress Mar-Vel...um...return of one of the biggest superheroes in the MU? Sup?

cool. ive have been so far behind on comics since class started this semester. I dident know the issues dident come out yet. looking forward to the Offical Omega Flight Comic, and Initiative. 😄

Despite the ending, I rather enjoyed this issue, though I'm still confused as to what role the Watcher played in all this.

I wasn't surprised by the ending at all, I said a while back that Tony would win the war.
Simply because for change to happen, Tony had to win.
If Cap won, it all would have went back to the status quo.
And we know the point of the crossover from the very beginning was to change everything.

Why was the Watcher involved anyway? Nothing earth-shattering happened. Nothing that threatened the universe anyway.

To me the ending to Civil War was about par to the ending of Infinite Crisis: anticlimatic.

Cap JUST realized that the people supported Tony and not him? Gee, Steve did ya watch the news and the poll results?

😬

Then again, was it ever explained why the Watcher appeared at the Black Panther's wedding?

May be the guy just enjoys hanging around Earth now or something...

So...what?

I loved Civil War, don't get me wrong, and I especially loved the fight in 7, but what the hell?

They showed entrances from their greatest heroes, but failed to show them doing anything other than a panel or two. Clor came, along with Mar-Vell, and you're thinking it's ass kicking time. Then you realize instead of ass kicking time, you get to watch some new feats for your favorite top tiers.

What are some of these feats? Lets take a look. Here are a few examples we see from some of the most impressive guys on either team.
-Clor: Walking, yelling loudly, getting beaten up (without throwing a shot)
-Namor: Jumping, yelling loudly.
-Mar-Vell: Flying in a straight line.
-Black Panther: Typing.
-Punisher: Picking things up off the ground.
-Sentry (my favorite in this): Standing.

They hyped up Sentry, made us think he'd do something awesome in the battle, only to show him do one thing: stand. Well god damn! Someone better get that to his respect thread quick!

Same with Mar-Vell, they brought him back...so what, they could show him flying once?

None of those guys threw a single punch, fired a shot, anything in the whole book. I got excited, "oh look, Namor's here, he's really going to kick some ass now." What happened? Did Cloak decide to teleport him back to the ocean? Then Clor comes in, leading me to believe I'm about to see some good ol' fashion ass kicking, and instead, what happens? He gets his face smashed in before they show him do ANYTHING. What does he get to do? Talk? That's it.

On the other hand, Spiderman, Cap, Hercules all got some good time on panels, but I just wish they would have shown more of the battle. IMO, they could have cut the whole IW going back to Reed thing to a lot shorter, and had a Narrator do the rest, and give us some more battle time.

All in all, Civil War 7 was badass, and I throughly enjoyed reading it, I just wish there were a few more feats everyone was hoping for.

sentry tires my patience either show a feat cancel the damn character.

He wasn't really involved. He just showed up because something big was going to affect the history of earth 616. Nothing universal. Personally I felt baldy should have been paying more attention to the annihilation wave.

I find it funny on how he didn't give a shit about two universes at stake, but he cares about Black Panther, and a couple heroes being wrong?

The watcher is probably watching because The Skrull War will come to earth. Tony Stark is a skrull, and then they'll have to battle the Skrulls... making everything normal and right again 🙂

The war ends because Cap starts crying?

😐

Maybe that "A" on his forehead really does stand for "France" after all? 😈
