Just read #7, and i have to say, i F*CKING HATED IT.
that was total bullshit...
millar is a talented writer, but all this crap about how the world is suddenly a better place because of the registration act? my arse...
all of those ideas could have been achieved without the registration act, but no, they had to put that in...

captain america's cared about civilian lives since the very beginning. he's cared about all lives since the beginning, and was a big-time contributor to the "avengers don't kill" line being thrown out in tense situations. he isn't telling them to surrender because he thinks people will get hurt; the area's already been cleared except for the servicemen clearing the civilians. he quits because a few servicemen who forgot that captain america was on the scene with them in 'the black issue' because they've been watching the news call him an ******* for a few months decide iron man's a better hero than he is. because anyone who was considered anti-registration was automatically roped into the stamford ordeal, and considered a bloodthirsty vigilante without a conscience. and somehow that affected him so much that he decided the civil rights of the arrested superheroes were less important than whether or not those superheroes were well-liked.run-on sentences, i know.

I was hoping for something like this.Cap: "I *sniff* I quit...*sob*"
Namor looks at Cap with WTF look on his face and raises his hand...
*SLAP!*
Cap: "Argh!"
Namor: "Rogers, what the f*ck?! I can't be loooking at the eyes of the same man who killed hundreds of enemy soldiers during the WWII! We were winning for Neptune's sake! The Avengers have obviously pussified you for some reason. Honestly man, get ahold of yourself!"
*WHACK!*
Cap: "You...you are right. I can't give up on the cause now. The people who attacked me are obviously misguided by propaganda. I mean, they made a Thor clone that is only few weeks old and had him kill Bill! That's like forcing a newborn to kill a man! And what about that prison then!? We are going to win this war, but to show that WE are the good guys, we are going to do it without shedding..."
*Namor snaps the neck of Iron Man*
Cap "...blood."
Namor: "Well...technically, he isn't bleeding. I snapped his pathetic surface-man neck with surgical precision. I have had harder time breaking twigs, really. Alright then guys, lets take over Manhattan! Again!"
Atlantean Soldiers: "Steal! Break! Kill!"
Cap: "...what made me team up with you in WWII in the first place?"
Namor: "Oh, you haven't seen nothing, wait 'till Hulk gets back. Tony is going to be happy that I snapped his laughably thin air-breathing neck. "
And then the Marvel Earth is taken over by Namor and Hulk.
agree totally...
even namor supported cap... f*cking NAMOR!!!
the registration act, imo, was never needed... every single plan they had could have been implemented without making heroes look like villains... and it was the pro-reg who used villains as their soldiers, did the public not understand that shit?
i liked reed redeeming himself slightly by taking that bullet for sue, but then his whole preachy speech annoyed me...
pym, man of the year? i'm a huge hank pym fan, but no, no no no no no...
hercules. badass. no other word.
will marvel be interesting in the aftermath? sure... maybe once cap wakes up from his stupid delusions then it'll be even better...

Yep 😄
Although I kind of wanted to see Ben kick the crap out of Clor, seeing how Goliath was one of his best freinds and all, but the Hercules pwnage was good too 😬
And is it just me or does anyone else see similarities between Thor and Superman's returns after death
-Evil robot duplicate? Check
-Possible sidekick? Check? (Wiccan?😛)
-Return with new look? Check
While the fight was pretty nice, and seeing Clor finally get what was coming to him from Herc was sweet, 👆, I am now officially outraged at Marvel. While Cap's surrender was beautifully done and the whole thing skidding to a halt with it was nice, the end result is nightmarish. I'll wait and see where Marvel takes this. But as far as I'm concerned, the dream is dead. The ideal of the superhero has been ruined. And Tony Stark needs to pay. The fact that the people embraced it shows something vile at the heart of the country, not anything good. They may try to paint this as a good thing, a healing process, but it's not. They're covering up the lie, the lie that Tony's idea was right, when in fact, it was the worst thing to happen to superheroes in marvel.
I admit this is a bit heated and political, but this is as wrong as the House Comittee on Superhuman Activities was in the 50s in DC. At the time, they refused to let heroes act without disclosing their identities, for fear of communism (a nod to Mccarthyism). Many heroes retired rather than reveal themselves. What Stark did was destroy the concept of superheroes as we know it. Here's hoping Cap breaks out and finds a way to stop this. Because if they don't change this and pull a complete 180, I'm droppping all my marvel titles, except Cable&Deadpool. 🙁 This is a sad day in marvel comics.

Excellent!
What was Iron Man's problem? That last page was so out of character I can't imagine it being really IM.
A lot of this crap went over my head for some reason. Maybe I'm over/under thinking the whole thing but....it left me confused.
Why was Punisher rummaging through old clothes? I was half expecting him to sniff the crotch of the damn thing. But, that's just me.

what i dont get his why didnt iron use the reality gem and just end it all in one broad stroke? yes that is my way of interjecting that illuminati #2 was f ****ing awsome...especially the part with Black bolt's voice being so powerful it was able to blow a hole in the fabric of space and time..
Yeah...and Namor has the time gem.
I guess he COULD return back in time and stop Stamford... 😛

You DO realise that the mad thinker is ...
A. Batshit Crazy
B. An enemy of The F4, especially Reed. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd screwed up the calculations on PURPOSE to spite him.

It's a shame you didn't like the ending, I loved it. ✅
And I agree with what you are saying, it has radically changed the way the MU presents superheros and probably not for the better, but I think the fact that marvel has been bold enough to do this, means they deserve all the more praise for doing it ✅
I was more inclined to support Cap's side throughout the whole event and I still do think Cap's side was the lesser of the two evils, but Marvel chose the pro-reg to win and I'm excited to see where they take it from here ✅
doesn't the champion of the universe have the power gem now? as i recall, he had it when she-hulk went to fight him, though i didn't read the fallout of their second bout, so perhaps he lost it.
but, for him to have it now, and for the illuminati series to be set at various points in the past, it's entirely possible that the members of the illuminati have lost their respective gems by this point.

Nope he hasn't got it anymore, IIRC he couldn't use it anymore after She Hulk beat him as it was a stip of the match.
He gave it to Titania, who wreaked havoc with it till she was defeated and thats how the illuminati got it, I think?
Not 100% sure so anyone who wants to jump in and fill in the gaps, feel free!
