Civil War Report

I just realised when Interviewed about Civil War, Marvel said they wouldn't kill off any/many major characters in the 7 issues of Civil War. They did it all in the tie ins. Death of Aunt May and Cap ✅

aunt may isn't dead. She's just in a coma. The one more day thing that's coming up deals with peter trying to fix it. Also supposed to deal with the spider marriage once and for all 🙄

So i'm just wondering, is anyone going to be posting scans about the post-civil war stuff like New Avengers and Fallen Son?

Darth has already started the post civil war stuff in the Civil War Scans thread.

I just posted The Initiative. I'll keep posting CW related stuff for a while. The Initiative's artwork is great, Top Cow did an excellent job. A nice setup for the ongoing I guess. Ms. Marvel came off as a biatch and while nothing ever really bothers me in a comic book storyline, Im gonna be real disgusted at MArvel if Tony "Judas" Stark decides to carry Caps shield around. Thats just an insult to Caps legacy.

Thanks for the scans Darth. I was looking forward to The Initiative.

Artwork was definitely awesome and I enjoyed the issue. I was already looking forward to all these series but now I can hardly wait. I knew that Michael would end up Guardian, despite Oemings protest. The way the artist drew the energy just coming off of Guardian was the same energy effect used in New Avengers. And does anyone remember the preview pages for New Avengers where it show's Dr Strange in astral form floating around somewhere with someone with Cap-like boots lying on a table? Makes sense now, Dr Strange investigating whether or not Cap was really still alive and him on the table still being worked on trying to be saved.

I've decided Cap's death is all Hudlin's fault

If Hudlin hadn't been such a pushy bastard, then Panther wouldn't have been in CW #6 and 7 and Cloak would have never brought the fight to new york, so Cap wouldn't have surrendered, and if he didn't surrender he wouldn't have been shot and killed

I think she was just lying to get Spiderwoman to come in with Nick Fury.

Here is Marvel's statement which explains a little bit about the scene in the Initiative:

MARVEL'S STATEMENT ON CAPTAIN AMERICA #25
Asked for comment by Newsarama about the apparent death of Captain America in this week’s Captain America #25, the publisher issued the following statement which reinforced the hero’s current status, as well as revealed for the first time the full title of Fallen Son:

"Captain America will continue to be published despite the very real death of Steve Rogers.

Next week, Civil War: The Confession features the final moments of his life.

In April & May, Fallen Son: Death of Captain America will follow the Marvel Universe’s reaction to this tragedy.

Also in May, Captain America #26 is where the aftermath of his death must be faced, beginning with the autopsy of his body.

Comments from Ms. Marvel in this week’s Civil War: The Initiative, which seemed to indicate that Captain America is still alive, and being held prisoner by the Pro-Registration forces may not have been exactly what they seemed on the surface, and events related to those comments will play out in upcoming issues of New Avengers.

So, yes, Captain America, Steve Rogers, is dead."

Newsarama Note: Look for follow-ups on the events of Captain America #25 through the remainder of this week.

So we will have to wait and see.

I remember that scene but it does not make sense, since Cap died in the hospital. Maybe this is when they do the autopsy they keep mentioning.

I agree. She even told her that Tony wanted her back and was even gonna ask her out when in reality Tony doesnt think too highly of her and was gonna charge her with treason if she showed up. That biatch Ms.Marvel was lying!

Maybe Spiderwoman tells everyone what Ms. Marvel said and they send Strange in astral form to check out and confirm whether its true or not.

When they find out she was lying this will cause even more tension between the two Avengers teams. Let's get ready to rumble.

So is he dead or not? I don't get it.

Steve Rogers? Maybe/Maybe Not
Captain America? No Way

He's dead. Ms Marvel was either just lying as getting a way to have Jessica defect or geniunely doesn't know herself (though I find that unlikely)

As somebody mentioned, its probably a clone.

doesnt matter if Steve pulls a Tupac...how they explain him coming back is gona be worse than his death... 😒

You mean that it was a clone that died?

I don't see it. Specially not after Marvel making such a big deal about this. Why would there be a series called "Fallen Son: Death of Captain America" if it was his clone that died?

I agree. I think this is the real deal, Steve Rogers is dead but Captain America will live on.

Rest in Peace Steve Rogers we and the Marvel Universe will miss you.
