Civil War Report

They werent ignored, They listened to his "idea" but agreed that it wouldnt work and it aint gonna work. Im not saying that he planned the SRA but its a means to what he proposed. Can you truly safe that their identieties will be safe if they register? No, sooner or later a hacker or a spy or even a disgruntled government employee will sell that information, steal it or hack it and that leaves a lot of families vulnerable. If im correct he was referring to a Global threath,a war, theres is no way he couldve predicted Stamford, CT.

Agreed.

Also, in regards to heroes who have a lot to lose, namely Spider-man, do you honestly believe top-notch Goblin-like villains will have any trouble getting into government files? Please.

what is with the hero hunters?

All i wanna know is who was in charge of the reality show the New Warriors were in? Shouldnt they be held responsible for it also?

Just finished Civil War #2. Not much happens that wasn't expected, but it's still a really good issue.

Here's a short spoiled summary for anyone who's interested...

Spoiler:
So it starts out with Vulture and Grim Reaper looking thoroughly owned and chained to a pole. Seems Captain America's taken down 15 super villains in the past 72 hours. This leads Hill to figure that Cap's gotten a crew together.

Then we see some of Iron Man's group after they've just taken a huge Doombot in the streets, which the crowd has cheered them for. Iron Man's with Ms. Marvel, Yellowjacket, She Hulk, Doc Samson, Reed Richards, and Tigra. They have a short discussion about the act, and Iron Man expresses his feelings that Cap is wrong this time.

Later on we see Sue talking to Reed. Reed's going on about how Stark and Pym are coming up with great ideas and their plans for the superhuman community. Sue asks about something called "42" which Reed can't talk about cause it's extremely confidential.

The registration act is passed and 24 hours later the Young Avengers are captured, while trying to foil a robbery, by SHIELD. But, Falcon and Cap are undercover as agents and they hijack the bus (but before that one of the actual agents says this "You heard about this place? This 'Number Forty-Two' thing they're constructing?"😉 and Wiccan teleports them all back to the Resistance's headquarters.

Here we get our first glimpse of Cap's team. It's consists of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Cloak, Dagger, Hercules (I think), Black Goliath and Cable (which i found interesting).

And then on TV we see the press conference from the end of Amazing Spider-Man #532, and Spider-Man does it. He reveals to the world that he's Peter Parker.

Jameson faints.

And that's it. Great art again.

Thanks Lucid for the update. Damn I cant wait to get my copy. Cable on Caps team does seem interesting but I think it gives him the edge. I wonder whats that "42" all about!

Spoiler:
It doesn't bother me at all if they reveal Spidey's id and break up the marriage. Those are both two things that will always be constant. We all know at some point the world will forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, and we all know that eventually MJ and Peter will end up back together.

In the meantime, comics aren't going anywhere. They are going to be around for a looooong time. So eventually stories will get stagnant. The whole world knowing Spider-Man's identity? Hasn't been done before. If it turns out to be absolute crap, then it'll get retconned all the quicker. If it actually turns out to be well written and entertaining, then i see no problem. Same for MJ and Peter splitting up. It's been done before, but if it's actually done well this time, then it'll be a decent read for however long it lasts.

What i'm trying to say is it's pointless getting bent out of shape about this stuff. I used to get really pissed at some of the decisions made in comics, but it's a waste of time. Comics will always return to the status quo, especially on the main titles.

And that's it for my rant of the day.

So does anyone have scans for today?

if u build it...they will come

I never thought I'd hate Tony Stark as much as I do right now.

I would be very thankful for scans since i'm to lazy to go get my own copy.

Well Spidey's screwed......

Jameson might commit suicide.

Cap is on a killing spree.

Tony Stark is a whore.

Oh my God.

It was ok, pretty much a build up issue. I still can't really tell where this whole thing is headed.

Well Theres like 5 more months to go, 5 more issues of Civil War and countless issues of tie-ins.

Wow, I am not impressed by the way you describe the issue 😬

Hopefully it will be better in the comic 😛

WHY!!!!!!!!!!?????????????

MUTHER ***ING SPIDEY IS SUCH A --!! AGH!

I can't even talk about what a stupid ending that was.

I have mixed feelings about this issue.

I thought that instead of going public, Peter would launch into a speech of sorts and decide not to reveal his identity.
