Damn. Emma is ice-cold harsh, but she speaks the truth. She does raise a valid point, too. That conversation/situation would've been completely differnet had the Avengers/any other team ever been there to help the X-Men in their times of need.

✅ the Avengers and FF and spidey are all distraught and worried about Civil war, but for the X-men it's their everyday life. No wonder Cyke, Beast, Angel and Iceman are secretly anti-reg.

Has anyone picked up the third issue of the Spiderman and Wolverine Civil Wars?

Also how many students has Emma Frost lost to pointless violence going all the way back to her first Hellions. And I don't think it's ever even registered on the other heroes radars. X-Men have been crucified on their own lawn.

They really by all rights should just say "F*ck you!" to both sides of this spat.

I honestly can't wait to see what happens when the four original male X-Men (Cyke, Angel, Beast, and Iceman) do whatever it is they're gonna do. That'll be pretty sweet, seeing them all together, working like a team again. I'm quite anxious to see it. It's gonna be sweet. 🤘

Meh... I'm having trouble accepting the civil rights allegory that Marvel wants to portray the anti-Registration people as having. It minimalises civil rights movements even within comics i.e. mutants fighting against their registration simply for being born a mutant.

the government is essentially saying "you're different, you're untrustworthy because others who are similarly different are untrustworthy, and we're going to monitor you because we say it's the law. shit, we'll even make you a federal agent because we want you to be one."

that'd be a tough pill to swallow in any situation, but that distrust has been around since day one with mutants. i'd be pretty ****ing tired of it by now.

I soooooooo wish the Planet Hulk saga would end and Bruce would come down there regulating shit

YA/Runaways mini came out today 😗

Anyone have scans of the new spiderman and wolverine civil war?

Maybe they should stop whining 😄

I finished reading New Avengers 22 just now, and Luke Cage kicks some major ass. Awesome.

What happens?

I would have done the exact same thing in Emma's place...the mutants have suffered too much loss...

I sometimes wonder what Xavier or Jean would do in that situation....'tis a shame if Emma leaves...

Well, he totally sticks it to the man.

Spoiler: Iron Man & Ms. Marvel go to Cage's apartment to try and nag them into signing the Registration Act, or they'll be arrested and taken away in the night. Cage basically tells them to f*** off and draws a few comparisons between the SRA business and slavery. Jessica and their baby go to Canada. Luke chills until the cape-killers knock on his door, then he wallops them and his whole neighbourhood backs him up. He eventually gets stunned, but the Secret Avengers show up and they all commandeer a SHIELD tank. Oh, and Cage lays it down for Maria Hill:

"We just wanted y'all to know. The revolution IS coming."

Yeah!

It's really not the same, at least for heroes who are relatively ordinary e.g. street levellers. For someone like Carol Danvers or the FF yes it's sort of the same. For someone like Captain America or Stark or Batman if he was in Marvel who are relatively ordinary, they choose to fight.

For mutants it's not that they intend to use their powers in the public domain that they have been trying to register them. It's not the fact that they're vigilantes as the majority before HoM were just ordinary citizens. It's simply because they exist. Being born a mutant was sufficient cause for registration, regardless of whether they intended to actively use their powers or whether their power was in any way destructive.
