True ..but for constistancy (hard for me to argue because it's REALLY hard to WANT to follow the xmen) i guess i gotta refer to civil war (as comics that involve crossovers from the entire companies' roster are usually more accurate than the "ice-man and other gods" x-titles

too bad we can't ignore his low showings as well.
check out x-men civil war 2 i believe.
After not being able to take down ONE sentinel (along with beast/angel/cyclops) bobby says "How are we going to save the 198 if we can't even take down 1 sentinel"

Maybe bobby is trying reverse psychology ??? I dont think so.
Heros with an unreasonably huge range in ability (from >sentinel to a god) just means the writers dont' know what they are talkin about it.
x-men civil war 3 : Bobby's holding some soldiers back by erecting an ice wall to stop their bullets. He asks " I'm going to need help here"
I dont think bobby wanted someone to scratch his back. Hell even i know it's an unnormally low showing, as bobby could have easily sent that ice wall forwards and crushed the soldier's guns.

I'm just saying that ...if low showings are stupid..then whats to say his high showings arn't ?
Taking away some characters' CIS gives them a MAJOR advantage.

However, time and time again, Iceman has shown to ability to do the things that Blair Wind, among others, has already shown in this thread. So when he has a low showing, like what you are saying with the soldiers and guns, that's called PIS. You don't see the Flash speed-blitzing every villain he faces, do you? Just like you don't see Iceman flash-freezing every bad guy he encounters.

Fortunately, PIS isn't allowed on these forums; that's why we tend to take into consideration high-level feats, but ones that occur on a consistent basis. Low-level feats, on the other hand, are normally discarded as PIS, as the character has already established the fact that he can overcome the situation, but because of the plot, he doesn't.

Why cant he be transmutated just by being non-organic? Just because Blackbolt hasnt petrified and army of tables doesnt mean he cant.

Burden of truth is on you. Has Black Bolt ever transmutated something inorganic?

Black Bolt has some telepathic abilities so a mindrape isn't exactly out of the question

Has Black Bolt ever mindraped someone?

Acutally, he has, although it wasnt a mindrape the way xavior or another telepath does it. Ill have to find the scan, but he shut off someones mind using electonic currents or something, i cant remember. But he did it, albeit not in the literal sense of a mindrape

You misunderstood. What I meant was since Bobby already turns himself into a non-organic form how is transmutation going to effect him.Unlike a lot of people he can survive as a non-organic substance.

So is iceman like, unkillable? cuz this thread is makeing me think so

i dont mean that in a whiney way, i really want to know

not unkillable, just extremely difficult. The only surefire 100% way to accomplish it would be to BFR him somewhere there was no moisture like...the sun, for instance, telepathically take him down, remove his powers i.e. leech and then shoot him, etc.

ahh
i see

I argue that if you can make turn him into a kind of substance that doesnt have water on it (via transmutation or the destruction of his mass to a molecular level) then he cannot survive, because he can only survive in a non-organic form that contains water.

To me, Blackbolt is more than capable of using both.

Wow i never knew ice man was THAT STRONG, i mean come on,bb opens his mouth, gives a scream and BAM ICEMAN IS DOWN,i dunno bout u guys but on Marvel Ultimate Alliance in Uatu's base and Karank says "that even the whisper over blackbolt can destroy half"(or the whole) "of this place". and ice man cant deal wtih that, but i think BB wins

BB wins

You also have to get rid of ALL the moisture in the area as well.Including the water in BB.
