Give superman some credit. If he has basic knowledge of surfer then I thinks he avoids this tactic (like Thor can) and KO's him (like Thor did).
Plus I still don't believe surfer can find that kryptonite is superman's weakness (especially in time). All superman needs is one punch. And doesn't superman's aura protect him from energy based attacks (including absorbtion attacks). Even if surfer does get the chance to try to absorb superman, he would have to remove his aura first before absorbing him. And when he absorbs the aura (if he can) then another will instantly form. All that wasted trying ends in a knockout for Superman.

Silver Surfer can out-speed Superman, and the only reason Thor took him down was because of Mjolner and it's magical properties. Thanos took him down because of using cosmic energy nimbus on his fists. Silver Surfer can survive a very extreme amount of pure physical punishment, unless you're saying that one punch from Superman is stronger than a black hole, then no, it's not happening.

No I'm saying that one punch from superman is stronger than Mjolnir and Thanos and don't forget enraged Hulk.

Note: it isn't Mjlonir's mystical properties that have to do with its knockout power. Just its indestructibility (no give to it), weight (about 40lbs.), and speed (very very fast).

Regular superman does not just punch through time and space on a regular basis. Superman One Million, sure, PC Superman, maybe, but not current Superman.

Regular Supes does do that, during the recent IC when Earth 1 and Earth 2 (current) Supes fought. They both were punching so hard that created blows of that manitude.

whats the deal with the surfer now, did galactus give him a power boost, or just bloodlust him? is he stronger than he used to be, or is he just using his full strength? if he has a boost, just how much of one is it? galactus put him up against aegis, who he was was his equal, so youd think he gave the surfer some serious mojo.

i dont think galactus expected the surfer to win, but he must have thought hed keep them busy for a while, which is very very impressive being that their as powerful as galactus himself, and are out to kill.

Its a good question... No one really knows for sure yet. All we saw was Galactus open his hand and out came Surfer and destroyed an entire fleet of the Annihilation wave's ships.

Ravenous also made a comment such as " what have you become" implying that maybe he is much more powerful now.

The last piece of evidence we have to go by is him standing up to Aegis although he did get crushed. Even still the fact that he might of had a chance is impressive, and warrants some consideration to him having a power up.
