No i think you were right the first time. Moondragon said only Thanos could free Galactus, but later when Drax picks up Surfer he says to Surfer that he is the only left with the power to free him. I think i could be wrong.

They weren't literally breaking apart space and time with their physical power.
They were the same guy, from different timelines/universes who were causing shifts just by being in close proximity to one another.
See any time travel/space jumping movie, and you'd see its quite standard for alternate universe stories.
And Superman doesn't hit harder than a Mjnollir blow. If anything, i'd say they were equalish.
