Maces lightsaber skills are superior. Yoda, IMO, has demonstrated better use of the force.

Did Mace really beat Sideous thou or did Palpatine allow it to look that way as part of his deception and seduction of the young Anakin?

Yea, but it sure looked like he was very easily owning all the Jedi right until Anakin came alone. Sidious was a genius and dark mastermind like non other. He probably orchestrated the whole thing knowing Anakin would show up just as he did.
Palpatine took a dive. Hell as soon as Anakin did as he wished he unleashed abutt load of force lighting on Mace's ass. If Mace really was defeating him why was he holding back all that for so long?
And how did he so easily jump back into the game, with a huge smile on his face even?

Maces stile of fighting is the 7th and more powerful form of lgith saber fighting it allows him to deflect his attack back at sideous which was killing sideous why would he keep lightning him self? He was defeated he new it and he decided to act as if his power was gone in hope for ankin to save him if he had kept the attack he would have surly died and he new it. All the evidence proofs he lost there no evidence to suggest he won or allowed him self to be defeated.

When Anakin came sideous was already on the ground and defeated.Doubtful and there no evidence to support this. Also sideous does not have that much faith in some one to put his life on the line. He was defeated and then when anikin showed up he decided to try to lightning mace while mace was distracted which did not work and then it acted as if he was out of power so ankin would help him. He was defeat there no prove that says other wise.

Because he had just killed the only jedi out there that could defeat him. Though Mace may have survived and if he did that be sick
Believe as you wish but, to me everything I have ever seen on Palpatine suggest he was playing Mace all along just as he played people all throughout the Star Wars saga. He even started to play Luke at the end but he was the first Jedi to raise against it. Not saying he is better than Mace just that he saw thought Palpatine's deceit.
IMO, Yoda>Mace>Obi Wan>Anakin>Luke

yoda was never stated to be mroe powerful then mace. Any one who ever refferenced power always used mace as the guage as if he was the msot power. Mace how ever is for a fact more skilled fight then yoda and the grand master of all light saber styles and h2h comabt styles.
so I can't really see how you put yoda over him at best yoda is tied
