Because in the Avengers I wasn't much of a poster. I was more or less the female support you could say. I posted a few times. I usually don't post tons unless I know Exactly what I'm saying because some fanboys get on my nerves, especially those who post one line and don't back up what they say.

As a KMC Ninja I still didn't post a ton, and once I think they called me in to support Elektra in a thread, and I said that she would lose the fight (I dont' remember who it was against), but I just remember knowing that there was no way she'd win. And honestly, in representing a character, I think both their strengths and weaknesses should be represented.

Actually I agree with you on the strengh and weakness thing. I hate when people through a million things the characters barely did one time and then they get mad when you mention the times the just barely got beat or even when they got owned. Then the fanboys comeout and start screaming PIS PIS... But they use the hell out of PIS to back their character. Hell, if you read the rules of the team we made in the first post you even see that we think you should ground you feats with logic.

I love Spiderman but, I know when he is out of his league. As with many other characters.

But isn't that thread hundreds of pages long? 😛.

In my opinion (though I'm just a member, not a founder) Scarlet Witch would DEFINITELY qualify as far as 'power' goes.

Another question - are we expected to more vigorously defend the character we 'represent'?

I mean, I like the Surfer, and I'll defend him if I feel he needs it in the thread (as in, it's not obvious that he wins), and I feel that he could win. But am I supposed to defend him regardless?

Certainly not, as logic and a lack of bias are two staple traits of the illuminati, yes?

I'm not sure about Wanda. Don't get me wrong, she definitely has "Power" in spades, but membership isn't so much defined by sheer power as it is influence. In your case, Surfer may not have a lot of direct influence, but he's generally regarded as the leader of Big G's herald's when they gather, and he's known throughout the universe. But I'll talk with the other Founders about Wanda and get their take on it.

Well, your supposed to know your character well enough to defend him in any battle that he SHOULD be able to win. However, you shouldn't defend his winning in any match when it's clear that he should lose(so don't go saying that Surfer could take Parallax or Ion). But basically, just let your own logic be your guide about his battles outcome. If you honestly think that Hal or Kyle could beat him in a strait up fight, then there's nothing wrong with letting that opinion be known(although if you do that, you'll end up in a debate with me). Overall, the character you represent is just an indication of your preference of characters, so there's nothing wrong with admitting that he CAN be beaten(to do otherwise would only be an indication of fanboyism, which I'm assuming is NOT tolerated by this particular group).

It's not really that important to defend your character against everyone they face but, you should be able to defend them against anyone they have a fight within reason against. As for Wanda, I really think this is up to the founders as a group because, I could see her being viewed as both. She has influence as both an Avenger and as the daughter of Magneto. However, She wouldn't really be mentally stable enough to be a true asset to the group IMO

Then perhaps I should be thinking about someone else? probably start researching characters I'm not as familiar with?

Again,not a founder but i say Wanda did have alot of influence in the old days and when you think about from now on in the MU she has the ability to greatly influence any events that might occur.Example:Although it wont happen,in civil war all she has to say is no more fighting and it would end.

Well nothing has been completely decided about Wanda yet, so you still might end up with her. But if not, the main requirement is that the character in question should be a character of some form of social influence, and it should be a hero or anti hero.

Hmm... only issue is, I know generalities about a lot of people, only ones I know details about or have read about are Wanda, The Punisher, Venom and a few others. 😕

Well in a tournament like the one coming up, 2 people choose 3 characters for their team. There's always a powercap in play to keep the matches relatively even(the up coming tourney's cap is "Under Thanos"😉. There is normally prep time involved in herald level tourneys, and the limit on what your team can do during prep time is decided by the tourney sponsor. The point of the tourney is to convince the judges that your team would beat the other team. There's normally a post number restriction so you have to be VERY good at getting your point across. When the match is over, the judges decide who they think did better in the match, and the winner progresses to the next round until a winner is decided.

Well give us a day to talk about it, and you might actually get to rep Wanda. The more I think about it, the more since it makes to me that she's someone the Illuminati would want to keep around.
