Well, I'm back. Possibly just temporarily, doing alot of going-away over the holidays. Best way to take advantage of the break. 🙂
I'd ask who missed me, but instead I'll just remain in my quiet little world where I know you were all pulling all-nighters in hopes of my return. 🙂
You don't have to admit it. It's ok.
Oh, and I would personally deny Scarket Witch as a member (if I was a founder 🙁 )
After all, Doc Strange is a core member of the Illuminati, and he would no doubt be in extreme opposition, seeing as he knows the purely destructive capabilities that she has shown recently, as well as the lack of control, not to mention mental stability.
Now, if you wanted to choose Elektra, that would be fine by me. She has ties with multiple secretive agencys, including SHIELD, Stick and is the current (I think) leader of The Hand.
EDIT: Oh, and I just got the new sig. Woohoo! All credit to Pittman.
EDIT#2: Oh, and we're nearing 500 posts!!!
EDIT#3: By which I mean, of course, that we have like 45 to go. 😐
...
Yay!

Face it. The Martians are an entire race of rapists. 😐

Well see what I was thinking about Wanda, was that they would WANT her around, if for no other reason than to keep an eye on her. Plus, she can technically get ANY influence she want's by rewriting reality. But it'll depend on what the other Founder's say, it's not just up to me.
That's true. She could be like a secret weapon of the Illuminati. The other option would be old-school Wanda. As in pre-chaos magic. Or at least pre-insanity.

😆 Chill out. I'm just joking around.
But, I mean seriously. With his powerset, it would be so much easier 😐
Oh, and I forgot to mention telepathy. The power to make someone forget everything 😐

Well, it IS true. And he has the whole 'lonely' complex.

Ok, we can change topics now. 🙂
So, is Wanda your number one pick in general? I have to say, if I had any influence in this decision, I would be against it.
I think we should really decide on base character requirements for applicants.
It wouldnt be set in stone rules, but it could serve as a basis. Useful guidelines.
I think Illuminati members must have the majority (but not all) of the following traits, IMO:
1)Powerful position of influence
2)Power in general
3)Highly intelligent
4)'Ends justify the means' philosophy (sp?)
5)Mental Stability
6)Little to no history of villainous acts (though, if they've reformed, this can be overlooked)

Hey everyone I'm back.I was reading the roster so far and its pretty accurate except for Lando is Black Bolt. Also I wanted to say that Spunky and Soljer are right, Victor is definitly NOT the type of character we were lookin for. I mean Jonn could easily use his pull as both a JLA member or one of the last Martians. Hell Logan could even be seen as a effective asset to the group with his connections to the New Avengers, X-Men, Weapon X, and his personal connections in Japan, Canada and where ever else he is tied to. (He does seem to have allot of old ties).
Sorry Jinzin but, Spunky and Soljer are right thou, just can't see Creed as any kind of good guy, hero, anti-hero, or ever an ends justify the means character. He is more a, I do whatever the hell I please and screw everyone else character.
If you like ninjas thou, why not pick an infuelinchel type like Stick or Elektra and I'm sure there are tons more. 😬
lol fair enough... like I said before, I'll rep DA MAN:
sub zero
Okay, sorry, but I can't just sit here and not debate on this subject now, I've been staring at this post for too long.

Wanda does have a powerful position of influence, of sorts. She was a powerful member of the Avengers and, as well known, the daughter of magneto.

2)Power in general
Everyone knows she has a great deal of power in general, especially since the House of M incident.

3)Highly intelligent
She would've been highly intelligent to be in the Avengers, I don't know many who would say she isn't intelligent.

Again, look at House of M. She wouldn't have a problem with that.

5)Mental Stability
Though she has a history of mental instability as shown by House of M, she does still have a great deal of control over her power, and even went back and fixed, or tried to, what she had changed.
It isn't known for sure if she is still mentally unstable.

Many have history of villainous acts.
Namor was evil and a member of the Brotherhood at one point.
Elektra (who has been suggested by some for her leadership) has been evil in the past and is current leader of The Hand, which is an evil organization.
Iron Man has attacked friends and associates on more than one occasion under mind control and even wiped the memories of the entire earth to forget his secret identity. He's still attacking friends in the current Civil War storyline.
There are more, though not listed here.

Debate is healthy, IMO
Originally posted by Artemis1860True enough, but those positions don't apply to either her current or her HOM self. Only towards her pre-HOM/pre-insanity self, who I have already stated would be fine, IMO.

I certainly wouldnt call her dumb. But, nearly every cannon member of the Illuminati is a genius in one field or another, and alot of the members within the KMC Illuminati are as well

But, as far as Doc Strange is concerned (and he is probably considered by the other members to be the most qualified to judge SW's application), she is Mentally Unstable/Out of Control. Again, my statements only apply to post-HOM/Insanity

True enough. And, in my opinion, Wanda would be excused from this on the account of mental instability.

By the way, I don't know if I'm the only one that Badabing PM'd with what appeared to be a VERY high reccomendation for Artemis.
