Thanos wins he has all the abilities to take down Superman.
His matter manipulation skill would allow him to create Kryptonite to weaken Superman or he could turn him into stone. He also has the strenght and the intelligence to take Superman down as shown before Thanos has dealt with guys like Champion with power gem by outsmarting him also he beat the Silver Surfer to death within a few panels and Surfer has the same durability or even better then Superman as it was shown he was taking shots from Bannerless Hulk without even being phased.The tech will also aid him since his shields were able to with stand blows from Galactus I doubt that Kal-El could get through it. Superman might has the speed adventage (Imo Thanos can also counter that cause he has beaten fast guys before) but Thanos has the superior durability so I doubt that Kal-El could hurt him.

People actually arguing that that darkseid rip-off (Thanos creator wanted to write Darkseid and settled for the copy) can beat Supes? Yeah? Superman may not have energy manipulation on the scale of Thanos, but let's not forget that supes is the epitome of other-worldy power.
If this is superman prime vs Thanos w/ gauntlets and gems I'd favour Supes. With a post-crisis present times Supes it's a toss up. Superman prime tears Thanos a new one.
