No this isn't a bait thread, this is a thread to put forth information w/o having to clutter another about a fight between these two characters when the thread was not about that.

And now the general consensus is the world is round (sphere) and they're right, just like the general consensus is Thanos > Superman. 🙂

It's a bait thread...particularly when it's been done.

So how does he prevent a superspeed punch that sends him violently flying out of orbit?

Thanos won't even get his hand dirty; he call his lackey The Fallen One to get the job done.

Thanos prefer to date his chixx.

If we're going by the opponents each has faced (which some members seem to be) then superman can take a decent amount of wins in this.

Well its true. Thats all that people are bringing up... the opponents that thanos has faced. Its not hard to do.

Supes mainly beats Thanos due to speed and flight. Again the slight majority to Supes. Thanos not being a 2 -dimensional and overall a more versaltile opponent means its a close fight either way.

All I'm saying is that there really hasnt been much 'evidence' put fourth. But meh...

I think that thanos would eventually put superman down, but it wouldnt be easy.

You want evidence? Fine, I dont 'like' thanos, but he obviously has insane durability. And his energy attacks are ridiculous. I said that I didnt believe that it would be easy for thanos because superman has quite a few insane durability feats under his belt. And I've realized that thanos actually doesnt have many feats outside of the ones involving the opponents hes faced, so, whatever. imo, I see thanos taking this 7/10 because of versitality and durability greater than supes.

I think Supes is just a tad bit faster and stronger than Gamora...who Thanos couldn't touch. 😉

I see the speed advantage, but the thing that perplexes me is the fact that thanos is more often than not, able to one-shot the surfer. I'd call it pis, or cis on the surfers part, but its happened so many times... Thanos' speed level is confusing at best. He cant fly. He cant move through space at lightspeed. But he tags characters that can... almost every time.

But I don't think that its impossible for superman to take the majority in this fight, just unlikely.

Gamora used her speed and skill and Thanos couldn't do anything to her. She just wasn't powerful enough to actually be able to do anything to Thanos.

You know Supes in reality is sort of non jobbing SS IMO, on paper there is no real reason why Thanos should even beast SS...yet it happens.
