If you want to go scan by scan and compare feats..we can do that.
I'm confident Superman more than stacks up against Thanos..and without having to run away or end matches early to look good.

So your saying that superman can get a win via BFR. Fair enough. Even though this has never happened to him via being punched. When it did happen to him it was by the IG.

I've never claimed that Thanos was weak or wasn't powerful. The guy is an intelligent brick who does well because he's an excellent tactician.
However, that doesn't make him perfect or unbeatable.
Superman has very similar qualities (unless he is with the JLA..in which is IQ seems to take a sharp drop) and I also don't claim Supes to be unbeatable.
Both Thanos and Supes get away with a lot of things and I'm willing to accept that for both. However, and advantage is an advantage.
For example...if Thanos gets prep or tech..why shouldn't Superman? The guy has used tech from his fortress many a time...especially if the fight is on earth.
Featwise and enjoying both characters I place them on a similar level. Durable bricks with enough oomph and strategy in their battles to get away with a LOT of things.

I stated from the start that Tyrant, Odin, WM thor with power gem have failed to bring thanos down.
maybe it was my fault and I could have worded it different.
Its just that characters of supermans level have never been a threat to thanos before. Quasar, surfer, plus all the other heralds, hulk, ect, ect. all have been dealt with. I dont see what superman can do to actually defeat or hurt thanos if simmilar characters with his powerset couldnt.

I take some things with a grain of salt. For instance Joker having all his bones broken and then running around with no problem a few months later.
Thanos is to surfer what Batman is to superman.
Whenever those 2 are around... IQ levels seriously drop.
Isn't Superman stronger than Thanos ? Thousands times faster ? At least as durable ?
Why are we still debating ? The problem here is that Thanos feats are very well known - and are being over analyzed - but Supermans feats are hardly known.
Another problem is that people keep comparing Superman with Surfer, but they are very different characters.
