Thanos vs Superman

<<it's easy for Surfer that's why he whould kick 1 million ass>.

dude, if it were THAT easy, he would go back and kill galactus, or thanos or . . . ANYONE. in an annual, he tried going back in time with thor by spinning around the world a la supes in the first movie, but he couldn't do it. can't remember - did millennius or something stop them? didn't he accidentally destroy a world or something sometime 'round the 120's or 130's? then he sort of lost it for a while and went nuts? why not just go back int time and fix it?

this is from wikipedia which is generally pretty up-to-date and accurate:

<<By exceeding 99% of the speed of light (186,000 miles per second), the Surfer can shift himself into hyperspace, a dimension in which velocity is not limited by the speed of light. The Surfer can also compress his own bodily matter so as to shift himself into a so-called microverse. He once used his powers to travel through time, but may be unable to engage in time travel under normal circumstances.>>

I agree with leonidas, or however you spell your name ( sorry mann).

If this doesnt stop him the Garnd father paradox's will!!!!!!!!!

This theory is often applied in comics so it will probably work here!!!!!!

Supes has gone against Epoch, the master of time.
Time travel is useless in a fight if both characters have access.

Mmmm, stayed fist to fist with Odin, same with Tyrant, backhanded Drax with the Power Gem and Professor Hulk without effort, beat the crap outta Silver Surfer, beat down Thor and Thing without effort, beat other Galactus heralds without effort, he was also able to throw down with Champion, he was sufficiently powerful to fight beings in possess of Celestial power in Marvel Universe: The End, and keep them at bay.

None of these characters have showed feats of strength on panel that compare as of yet. Supes has fought and held his own against similar beings in DC also.

Tyrant has power cosmic.
Power Cosmic>>>>>>>Kryptonian Powers.
Power Cosmic grant you to perform various feats, Superman is showed doing feats of strenght cause he's the flag hero of D.C. Comics, Marvel doesn't need some of his chars doing strenght feats of incredible proportions, cause it know they are on a league far above that of most heroes and villains.

Asmodel is Power and supes held his own for a while, just like Thanos held off against Tyrant for a while.

Like I said, Thanos would win, but mostly due to his cunning mind. The guy is no idiot.

In the fight against Odin, not one punch was thrown, It was all energy attacks. Against Thing and Thor he was also dependent on energy attacks.

Dont forget Thanos can probaly lift many many tons. Therefore it is quite plausible for him to send a human sized object flying, even if he did have the power gem. The real question is ? Did he hurt Drax ? Didn't Thor beat Drax with the power Gem also.

In the fight against Champion he didn't once Hurt champion. Not even with his energy blasts which are far stronger than his pysical attacks.

This arguemnet doesn't make any sense. So you are saying that these guys are stronger becasue they don t have to do feats ?

Ohh that arguement works really well. Imagined if they used it in heavy weight boxing. My fighter should be given the title because he is so strong he doesn't have to prove how strong he is?

Nice 😉

Supes also held his own against Cythonna, a Kryptonian ice Goddess in a physical fight. Granted he had to take the fight to the surface of the sun, but he was holding his own there.

Power Cosmic grants the user to enhance all of his physical abilities to outstanding levels.

Thor in Warrior Madness Mode stalemated Drax, that with his 7years old intelligence can't tap full mode in the powers of the PG.

SS can go back in time and the future

there is nothing to it.

He defeated Durok like that.

How can you be so sure that Cythonna is even close to as powerful as Thanos? You continue to leave out a huge hole in that fight. He had to use a kryptonite bomb to defeat her. Is that fight even in continuity?

When has Surfer ever failed at going back in time?

Wikipedia is now more canon than Surfer's comics? I'll keep that in mind.

Can you provide ONE instance of post-crisis Superman timetraveling without any sort of assistance.

And vice/versa😄

Who knows with Mavel continuity CC 🙂

Thus, there should be no comparison. Until Cythonna forcefully takes over DCU, she's nothing in comparison. 😛

He did that to Marvel with his intellect more than his strength😄

In the old days, Thanos brawled hand to hand with Thor and the Thing at the same time and schoolled them both. If we accept Superman as a notch up from Thor (though not a big notch) I'd still expect Thanos to beat him. Now if we take Powered-Up Superman vs. Normal Thanos, that's different. Thanos would have to switch to space-jiujitsu type methods like he did against the Champion, or execute a power-up of his own. He still has that globe he took from the Tyrant..
