Thanos vs Superman

In the old days, Thanos brawled hand to hand with Thor and the Thing at the same time and schoolled them both. If we accept Superman as a notch up from Thor (though not a big notch) I'd still expect Thanos to beat him. Now if we take Powered-Up Superman vs. Normal Thanos, that's different. Thanos would have to switch to space-jiujitsu type methods like he did against the Champion, or execute a power-up of his own. He still has that globe he took from the Tyrant..

Ahh Marvel Two in One Annual and yet Captain Marvel burst through knock him over and shattered the giant "Sun Destroying Gem", That aside it was only Thor and the Thing and nobody in Supes strength league😄

Especially not in Sundipped Superman's league. 😉

Thor is in Superman's league of strength. Superman normally functions in the mountain lifting range.

He don't even need the globe, he can enhance himself through cosmic energy becoming more durable and stronger then he is in his "normal state"

yes the moon weighs as much as a mountain, the earth weighs as much as a mountain, a black hole weighs as much as a mountain, yeh the Mageddon machinery (the size of a solar system) weighs as much as a mountain, yeh a cylinder starship the size of the moon weighs as much as a mountain, war world with hyperspace engines weighs as much as a mountain. yeh yeh Superman is in the mountain lifting level. He has never surpassed this level ever. 🙄

Never lifted the moon. Never lifted the Earth. Never lifted, moved, or did anything to Mageddon other than absorb it's anti-sunlight. He held a miniture black hole, and he needed help from GL to do it.

Moving War World? Sundipped. I said he normally functions at mountian lifting strength.

Superman's normal, non sun-dipped, strength level is in the mountain lifting range.

Superman's normal not sun dipped strenght levels is above the mountain lifting range.
Without being sundipped, he drilled into Mageddon's body reaching his power core.

There's a pic of it somewhere on this board.

It was about 77 - 78

Thanos dosnt do too well in the h2h part of it but he gets them with a psionic attack it appears.

I'd forgotten that bit 😄 years since I read it probaly not since about 81 😂

How can you be so sure that Cythonna is even close to as powerful as Thanos? You continue to leave out a huge hole in that fight. He had to use a kryptonite bomb to defeat her. Is that fight even in continuity?

It's a simple comparison.

As for the power thing. If Supes is as stronger than earth gods..and she was beating his a$$ (at first). How strong must a kryptonian goddess be?

Read my comment again, I said he held his own with her.
Did Thanos beat odin? Nope..got his ass handed to him.

Can you provide ONE instance of post-crisis Superman timetraveling without any sort of assistance.

What part of "access" dont you get?

With time travel "when" no longer becomes a factor, does it? 🙂
