Mar-Vell has a big shoe to fill IMO to be considered Superman's superior.

No he doesn't the fact he can reduce a high herald to ash with a casual im not trying blast says he is his superior. And about the shifting between adam and magus idk about i didn't get to read much of gotg but i was under the impression that adam was dead.

Who told you that the Magus was a High Herald? his power output may be on the level but his durability is obviously lacking. What class 70 - 80 outside of Sky Father can hold a candle to Superman? nah I'd put magus and Warlock in the low to mid Herald range. Superman is a high Herald. Should we start breaking out scans? Superman has a nice respect section right here on KMC. It will show you how easily he would trash Magus, and Captain Mar-Vell. Lord Mar-Vell exactly the way I thought he would. Shyt I doubt that he could beat Blastarr.

There is one instance in my mind that imo makes me think magus is HH and thats when nova and quasar are in pursuit of canserverse quasar and magus shows up worldmind then tells nova that magus is indefinitely more powerful than quasar indefinitely might not be the right word but i haven't read that comic in a while.

Quasar has some really low showings, those bands are good for depowering high energy characters, but too often have I seen Quasars containment broken by physical characters for me to believe that he is anyhting more than a low herald... why because of his all around lack of durability. I mean sure he's fast, and he can fly. Ask me if I believe that he could beat Classic Hercules, and I'd tell you forget about it. High Herald is thrown around too freely around here, and it takes quite a bit to fall in this rank. Superman however does.

Think about it, Superman held a neutron star in his hand. he has laser beams that are a few times hotter than the sun, his natural body armor is capable of taking that kind of heat, he can extend a bio field... the list goes on and on.

Thanos can beat him... the others... Nah!

Perhaps the anti matter grenade was more powerful than the blast that fried Magus? Perhaps Magus wasn't as durable as you might at first believe?

They said he recovered too much power to be controlled. That doesn't imply he recovered all his power, only that he recovered too much... to be controlled.
