Superman beat DS due to the Cosmic Powers Superman Obtained under Jeph Loeb. And the fact that if you read the fight correctly, DS was whooping SUperman's Ass. He was soundly trashing Superman with hand to hand only. He was about to severly hurt Superman with the OE when WW deflected the OE back onto DS. His own power is what reallly hurt him. Then SUperman went and took a quick Sundip and came back and Beat DS who had just hurt himself. People love to bring that fight up but seldom remember the details of the fight.

It's still a durability feat none the less, but Doomsday did soundly put a thrashing on the man of Steel. ANd doomsday had been battling other heroes including taking some good ones from Maxima.

What fight are you talking about? I'm talking about on Earth when DS was beating the shit out of Superman. WW deflected the OE back onto DS.

Even if they went H2H I don't see Superman winning overall. For sure Thanos would get hurt as well but would eventually prevail due to his godlike invulnerability. He has fought against such as the Power Gem and angry Odin, yet he was still standing. Not that he ever really had a chance against Odin who wasn't even phased by Thanos' attacks. It's still a GREAT durability feat.

Another major deciding factor is how much Superman is holding back. Sometimes he gets thrown around by an enemy at first. Then he notices talking won't do any good. Suddenly he goes on "I have had enough" mode and his strength level seems to increase tenfold. It usually means a total knockout for the enemy.

Thanos with all his powers: 10/10 (it's the case in this thread).
H2H: 2 or maybe 3 out of ten for Superman.
H2H Superman no holding back: 6-7/10 for him.

I have a question, How come when I used Diana's Fights with people to suggest her strength lvl, people kept telling me she doesn't have the strength feats on her own. But Those same people turn around and use thanos' fights with people to say he is so strong and yet he has no strength feats of his own? The double standard here is just sickening.

T-Vo is some ridicolus mental attack.Thanos with his psychic abilities who are not his primary ones, managed to attack the Goddess among with Prof X and hurt her, he didn't stopped her but still managed to attack with success.And she was empowered by VARIOUS Cosmic Cubes.

Thanos got blasted by a weakned but still extremely powerful Galactus through his shields and was all smoking from the blast but still alive, not many beings can claim to have survived to Galactus blasts, weakned or not, it's still Big G we are talking about.
Planets exploding, he survives, unhurted.
Assaults by Odin, not full power, but still skyfather using magic and cosmic energy, he survives.
Superman is in Thanos league like a Pontiac Trans AM is in that of a Ferrari F430.

There are many Superman Fans who can pull feats out of thier asses about how strong and Durable Superman is. You are really being rather subjective in your assessment. Your acting as If thanos could just have a walk in the park with Superman. You don't have a walk in the park with a being who can hold black Holes, move planets, and run along side the flash. Your being totally unfair in your summation of the two characters.

Strength has nothing to do with it. You all are confusing Thanos's Superior Durability and Superior Skills for Strength. If he was so far above them in strength, he would have killed them easily. He's not stronger than any top tier. He's just harder to hurt and a better fighter. Now how did I lose when you can't prove that he is indeed stronger?

Where is it stated, that Thanos was using skills? Where does it shows that? In the encounters i mentioned, all you see its him brawling with those characters. No, you just lose, because you dont concead the obvious. Like this one:

"If he was so far above in strength he would have killed them"

HMMM. Her feat holding a meteor the size of a state was with back up? WW broke Superman's ribs with Back up? WW Stalemating CM was with Back up? WW fighting Many Crime Syndicate members was with back up? WW beating a DAXAMITE was with back up? WW beating Primaid was with Back up? Taking a full on attack from zeus was with Back Up? SHe used gear to break Superman's Ribs? I though she used her strength. You are being biased and that's all to it. It's just bloody obivous my eye. It's obvious that you hold a double standard. period. It's ok to use "feats" to try and put down my arguments for WW but ok to use batlle only feats for Thanos. Ur being obvious.
